well, in my experience I judge who I LIKE like a partner bf/gf by how i feel around that person. If when i talk to that person i get all excited and cant wait to talk to them again or if i feel anxious about talking with them and my heart starts to race, thats how i like to tell if i LIKE someone as a partner.
I think that if you have thoughts of a person that make you want to be with them and they make you happy then maybe you like them! care and concern for that persons well being and a desire to be close to them is also a large factor.
