  • They're quite good. The first book was meh, but it's also a prequel. Second picks up steam, third was great. Haven't read the fourth yet.

Also learned there's a Deus Ex book out there. I WANT IT.
Was gonna mention Mass Effect, but didn't know if you played. If you like his character, read the books. They're quite good. He shows up in at least 2 that I remember, one of which is a prequel. The 3rd is my favorite, and I'm pretty sure a 4th just came out.
    Yeah... :urg:

Went to a convention a few years specifically for Gargoyles. That was awesome. Met Keith David (Goliath. He's also the Arbiter from Halo). Pretty cool guy. And that voice!
    Yup, Goliath Chronicles.

    It was bad. REALLY bad.

My wife says it's more about what it ruined than what it was.
    It's kinda like reincarnation, yeah.

Gargoyles Season 2 is the best. AVOID SEASON 3 LIKE THE PLAGUE. The original writer was kicked off the show at that point, and it went down hill from there.
Yeah, Muse was kick ***. If they roll into town again, we're probably gonna see them again, without a doubt.

They're currently on the 11th Doctor. When a Timelord (The Doctor's race) is dying/near death, they can regenerate. In doing so, they change their physical appearance. It's also a handy way for the writers to write off an actor but still keep the character.

Easily my favorite TV show, hands down. Right next to Battlestar Galactica (reboot). Oh, and Reboot and Gargoyles.
I'd have to go Zeppelin IV. Stairway, Rock and Roll. Big fan of The Immigrant Song.
(I'm pretty sure those aren't all Zep IV, but some of my favorites (it's REALLY early))
Favorite bands would have to be:

    1)Zeppelin
    2)Queen
    3)Muse
    4)AC/DC
    5)Rush

There's others, but the top 2 are the only ones I haven't seen live (for obvious reasons. :( ). I've seen Muse twice live, and they're god damn AMAZING. The best live performance I've ever seen. And the second one got BETTER. :D

I generally like my 'classic rock/metal', but there's some new stuff I like. My wife is the one who got me into Muse.

Along the lines of GT names, I started with Einherjar ODIN, got tired of people mispronouncing the name. Went to Big Boss 0DIN. Account got hacked, felt it was a good idea to change name so I wouldn't be searched for and hit again. Went with a Doctor Who reference instead. <3 Doctor Who.

    Ahem...

I've read what F8AL just posted. >_> Again... Cause you know... It's right there... Sorry buddy (@F8AL), you know I love you.

As I said, these have been fixed. There is the OCCASIONAL lock up, but that happens with ANY game. And I rarely ran into game freezers when they didn't patch it. My suggestion, so that F8AL and I don't go back and forth with a he said this that and the other, is check the patch notes. Should be on the Fallout wiki and or Bethesdas main site.

Spasms on the ground are a funny glitch. Hardly game breaking.

Anyway, if you are looking for other game suggestions, please ask! Also, would like your Xbox GT if you have one. ;)
Occasionally, I read what ODIN said but I disagree. Some glitches I remember when I played the game was that sometimes it wouldn't load your game. (It'd just sit there loading forever...) Or when you go into VATS mode and target an enemy, your character wouldn't do anything and would take damage...or bodies of fallen enemies would have spasms on the ground.

You should definitely try out Bioshock 1, it's good because it takes place at the bottom of the ocean and you have to fight a lot of crazy people and make tough decisions regarding the little sisters. And to fight
Andrew Ryan and the final boss.

Don't get Bioshock 2, the beginning of the story makes no sense and the overall story is terrible. It was made by a different company...it's nothing special IMO. Stick with the original Bioshock. (You can probably find a new copy for $10.)

I've had several textbooks which cost me over $100 and we barely used them...:urg:

I never sell my textbooks because I'd rather not get ripped off and I don't feel like I learnt $12,000 of information. Yeah...it's pretty difficult to find a job in the current economy and job market...I hope I get a lucky break soon.
There were some where mods couldn't be equipped on preorder items (extreme clipping), a few game breakers because of oversight, etc.

The gamebreakers are gone. Same with the preorder stuff. Every once in a while you get a monster or something that clips into the game world, but it's rarely THAT big a deal.

I'm willing to forgive things like this because the game is SO big, it's impossible to get all the bugs hammered out in one go. Fallout 3 and Oblivion suffered the same thing, I don't know why people ragged on F:NV.
Most of the glitches have been cleared up now. A lot of the game breakers are gone, and I haven't even run into any. I ran into ONE glitch, and found a workaround easily. So the game is much more playable now, than say, last November or whenever it came out. So I honestly wouldn't worry about them. They've done a great job catching the glitches and addressing them ASAP with patches.
FYI, when you walk/run while cloaking, you still appear on your enemies motion sensors so if you want complete stealth, you'll have to crouch walk. Some people can also tell when people are cloaked by looking in the general direction and seeing the ripples in the air. (I learned that the hard way...:urg:)

Don't get me wrong, Fallout: New Vegas is an alright game, but all the glitches (which they still haven't patched...) bring the overall quality of the game down. I do like some of the new features/changes through but Fallout 3 is still the superior game. You should also try the original Bioshock (not Bioshock 2...) and the sequel, Bioshock: Infinite is coming out next year! I love games with lots of content in them because that justifies the price tag IMO.

Nah, you don't. I really haven't played co-op in Borderlands and the game is still fun. It has 2 player split-screen co-op and 4 player online co-op.

Yeah...each year cost me like $3,000, but it went up every year and textbooks are scams expensive. I guess so...still haven't found a job yet since I graduated back in April. :c
F:NV is different from 3 in that the 'repair' system is a little better, along with a perk called Jury Rigging, which lets you take weapons/items similar to each other to repair something else, More levels thanks to addons (but you get one perk per 2 levels, so it's a harder too), combat is a little better, you can actually ADS, and there's upgrades/mods you can get for weapons.

Overall, I think there's a lot in both games that are great, but each really holds their own merit. :)

And not trying to stalk convo, just saw F8AL wrote, was curious what he said.

And I just checked eBay, you should be able to get the GOTY edition of Fallout 3 for about $30-40. Pretty good deal, seeing as the main story will last you about 100 hours and each DLC adds on a good amount of additional gameplay, characters, story, weapons etc.

If you like the Fallout series, you should also check out Borderlands, you can build any weapon in that game and it has lots of content.

Yeah...college is expensive. My program was 3 years (I majored in Marketing) and in total, including tuition (how it goes up every year...), textbooks and other expenses, I spent about $12,000. :urg:
Well, if you ever get the chance, try Halo 3, it's arguable the best one in the series. The newest one in the series (Halo: Reach) is pretty good but the online MP sucks. (The maps suck and armour abilities piss people off.)

Get Fallout 3, it's better. Less glitchy. NV is one of the most glitchy games I've ever played. The DLC is brand new and not on the disc. I borrowed my friend's GOTY edition of Fallout 3 and installed all the DLC on my hard drive. :awesome:

Yeah, I hear ya. Too many games, so little time and money.
How about Halo? And you should try the Fallout games if you're into games with RPG elements and with lots of content. (100+ hours invested into Fallout 3!)

You getting Gears of War 3? It's out in 8 days.
Sounds good, which other games do you have for your 360? You into the Call of Duty games?
Hi, what's your XBL GT? We should play some Reach one of these days! :)
I have received a Grey approval. Keeping this forever.
And i'm getting around to it, lol

I wanted to go to Gen 2 so bad but I had not enough money johns. :glare: Are you still going to tournies or was Gen 2 a special case?

Yep, I've been doing better at tournies since i've been back. Made money at those two in the same week, lol
I also used 2009 Grey GW exp and took down a GW named paper that was ranked in socal as well (Socal PR got updated a week before that tournament so he lost his PR spot due to inactivity so he wasn't officially ranked anymore :glare:).

I'm just back to see how everyone I knew from back in the day is doing now, since I haven't talked to them in a while. I might stop at a few more profiles later, when I get the time.

Did you and DTK ever make it to Gen 2?
Nope, still alive and around. I came back to the brawl scene again around January and i've been in Moot's ladder chat with most of the HOR people/Going to tournaments/College.

I just don't use SWF that much due to not knowing what to do here anymore, lol
