tripping can be beneficial alot of the time. You can time it right so that you get priority with your get up attack because of the invincibility frames. It can also be detrimental alot of the time for some people, but since I space well, I am not in that situation much.

Ya, you can roll by pressing 'R' when hanging on ledges and I am assuming when you trip. The computer probably rolled with a little forward momentum to mess with the physics. Ya, rolling recovery, thats a bit of fine print in the manual.
