  • Some movies jumped the queue by virtue of being on TV, but I ended up watching Pitch Black last night. Overall I was entertained, though there were some plot conveniences and I would have liked less hinting at times when it came to Riddick’s history and his relationship with Johns. Their final fight came earlier than I expected and I wish it wasn’t so short, but I did like these two characters and the way it ended up. Fry dying was kind of random, but I guess it is supposed to impact Riddick for the sequels and the surprise of it provided a twist to an otherwise fairly predictable film. Initially I thought the supporting characters were pretty much expendable, but then I realized that is always their point in movies like this and they had more personality to them than the average sci-fi/horror movie at least (except for the muslim kids, they just got wrecked). I’m not particularly inclined to watch the sequel, but I had fun with this one.

I think what you said about characters like Riddick and Johns being more interesting as not the actual protagonist is true. It’s one of the reasons I like MGS2 so much, you get to fight with Snake rather than as Snake and see him through the eyes of Raiden, who you control for most of the game. Did you end up playing the MGS series?
Yeah, had a good chuckle over the censor.

I had only seen TWBB at the time, but watched PTA's other four feature films since. Other recommendations I hadn't seen yet, but have now were Natural Born Killers, Halloween and Moon. They were all right up my alley and I think I've mentioned at least some of them before.

You recommended a few more that I haven't seen yet. I don't typically download movies, so if they're not going to be on TV any time soon I'll have to see if I can rent or buy them. Right now I'm mostly planning on watching a few more Oliver Stone movies, which I'm pretty sure I can easily rent.
That sounds good, actually. I'm quite sure my dad has the DVD, so I'll watch it either tonight or in one of the upcoming days. I think I didn't watch it earlier because I'm not too big on Vin Diesel, but that might have to do more with his movies than the man himself. So yeah, I will give this a try per your recommendation. Save a few, I watched all of your earlier recommendations too. :)
and like slumped over and died to become a zombie
    i think he's an idiot
i think it's sad that he died but he's an idiot

A girl I know on JIM'S ****ING DEATH

WHERE ARE YOU I NEED HELP BREAKING HER FACE
Man I don't think I need to tell you how ******** it is that a game based entirely on choice pigeonholes you into constantly making a certain type of choice to be able to make critical decisions.
Hakuna Matata, man. Screw the notes, move to the jungle, find a nice, honest warthog with which to become life partners and spend the rest of your days trippin' on bug venom. It's the African Dream.
And at 9pm you turn back into a pumpkin? I mean, I imagine that would make studying difficult.
You know what's awesome? Slacking off on studying for an open book/open note exam only to remember on the day of said exam that you never bought the book for the class and you hardly take notes.

I've done that a bunch of times. Always worked out super favorably for me.
You have no way of knowing how much Rubicon I have or have not watched. I could have seen the whole thing by now. You don't know! YOU SHOULD FEEL BAD FOR LEAPING TO CONCLUSIONS.

Just bein' a G, is all. 'Sup with you?
Haha, well, I'll consider it. I might just get 2 then play 1 later for convenience's sake.

    Are the novels any good?

Oh, and note the fact that I speak of my friend in the past tense.
He told me (spoiled for people reading my profile)
that the reapers are these bigass machines that want to kill everyone and come out of nowhere every million years or whatever, and Saren (or whatever his name is) betrayed everyone and killed people because he was mostly under the control of his ship (and I think he wanted to make a peace treaty with reapers? Idk), which was one of the bigass reapers. The reapers also made all of the relays and such that civilization enjoys.

    Is that the biggest twist?
ME2 for ps3 has a bonus comic thingy that explains the plot and gives major choices.

Also, I got spoiled on the plot of ME1 by a friend, and I forgot to mention that. :(
Of course. I would just rather do it on ps3 because I can play games later on ps3 since my parents don't like me on the computer late at night for some reason.
I've got a question for you. Is it ok to skip ME1 and go straight to 2 since I have a ps3?
    Huh? I confirmed? xD

Edit: Nvm, I saw it. It was a long time ago. I'm not in, but I'll watch. : P I got lots of work to do and stuffs.
