I asked this from somebody and he said it's only possible to zoom at one character and angle the camera little bit around the character. There's no free camera like in Halo 3. I haven't found a single video on the net that shows the replay mode in its fullest, though.

Remember that tiers matter only in high level play. If you're a casual player, tier list doesn't mean anything to you.
