Smash 4 Power Rankings Directory Project

Kinda surprised Keitaro is ranked 8th in Tristate, and above players like Vinnie, Ninjalink, and ADHD. I mean when he's on point he's on point and I love Keitaro, but it just feels like at least Vinnie or Ninjalink should have better tourney results.

Is the skill gap in Smash 4 too small?

I think the main reason the skill gap is relatively smaller compared to Melee/64 is because those games have had like 13-15 years of metagame development, while Smash 4 has only had like 6 months and 1 national tourney at this point. I don't think it would matter if Smash 4 was designed to have...

Is the skill gap in Smash 4 too small?

Wait, wait wait.....so a game that was released about half a year ago has less of a skill gap than smash games that have had 7-15 years of metagame development??? Who would've thunk... Of course Smash 4 doesn't have a huge skill gap like the other games yet, have people forgetten how new ssb4...

How does attack speed compare from Brawl to Smash 4?

I guess this might be kind of too broad of a question to answer simply with so much varied data, but in general how does the speed of attacks in this game compare to Brawl? I'm mostly thinking in terms of ending lag, landing lag, start up, and I guess IASA/auto-cancel frames if you know enough...

Who has the best Spike/Meteor smash in SSB4?

Just curious, what game do you think Ness had the best spike? If you're talking about best 64 spikes I gotta go with Falcon and his dair, would prob rate Kirby and Samus as runner's up.. Strong and meaty as hell, but most importantly has massive range and disjoint in the back....hitboxes cover...

Complete Hitbox/Frame Data For Every Character (Now with KO Percents)

I guess this might be kind of too broad of a question to answer simply with so much varied data, but in general how does the speed of attacks in this game compare to Brawl? I'm mostly wondering about ending lag, landing lag, and start up. It's just that any thread over on /r/smashbros...

    Q&A Mechanics & Techniques Discussion

I think this might be what you're talking about, known as a "turnaround-cancel": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zumpzuCnG64 Then there's also this, which I've heard referred to as "skid-cancelling" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDQoxMARFMk#t=1m28s

Why are Smash players so concerned with "advanced techniques?"

People are so obsessed with AT's because they allow for more options in gameplay, and combined they usually allow for a deeper metagame to emerge within each smash game. Melee for example would be near unrecognizable without players utilizing AT's in their gameplay. People seem to always be...

Meta Smooth Lander and Heavy Gravity (SLHG)

Oh yea that's right I have heard beat solves his gravity issue. Are Sonic and Diddy the only characters who's recoveries get completely screwed, or are there others too?

Can anyone find more frame data for rolls/dodges?

Oh wow, that is way more complex than I assumed. It definitely would be nice if one could just advance frame by frame in training though, would make everyone's lives a lot easier lol.

Meta Smooth Lander and Heavy Gravity (SLHG)

Ah ok, thanks. I don't actually own the game my buddy does, but I'll try and test some over his place when I get the chance

Meta Smooth Lander and Heavy Gravity (SLHG)

Has anyone found any way to at least partially nullify the physics change to certain moves like Sonic/Mega Man's up b? Like maybe with a piece of equipment or special smash settings?

Can anyone find more frame data for rolls/dodges?

Oh ok thanks for the info, I assumed the data was mined differently I just didn't know it was that much harder. I don't actually own the game and just play it over my friend's every so often, but I've heard you can test things frame by frame in training? It would be nice if we could slowly...
