  • oh i told you lol. so you have an image with a background in gimp. to make it not have a background you have to do what's called rendering. to do this you have to have the image open in gimp. go up to the layer menu, go down to transparent, and to the right to add alpha channel. then click the magic wand in the box on the left with the other tools. lastly just click your background (if it's all one color), then press ctrl+x. if you do have a non-solid-colored background it depends on what it is to render it. if you're having trouble just link the image to me and i can render it for you.
    well, you have to options:
    1) for things from planetrenders.net that have a solid background color, you can take the magic wand tool and click the solid background with it. then, you push the "delete" key on your keyboard or ctrl x
    2) if the background has various colors, you can use the paths tool. This is harder to use, but easier to cut out renders in my opinion. I think they have a tutorial on how to use the paths tool on gimptalk.com. but the object is to curve lines with the curves on the render...
    hope i helped
lol ok. you mean render them? like with the alpha/transparent background? go to layer, transparent, add alpha channel. click the magic wand then the background, then press ctrl+x.
Its fine since its in the Toon Link forum, and not General Brawl Discussion.
