REALLY bad matchup for Snake is Olimar.. I don't care if people say 60-40, if the Olimar knows how to play the matchup the Snake is *****.
1) Snake cannot out camp
2) Snake CANNOT approach

1) Marth is my secondary - vs Dao was the first time I had used him in 3 months. :| I have no need for a secondary. I'm a mutha ****ing Snake the only secondary I need is Martha for Lolimar.
2) I tried to camp him when I was behind? What type of drugs was I taking?
3) Dao is ****ing good. <_< Probably best SoCal Diddy... I know NoCal has better Diddy's though... Dao is ****ing ****. He ended up getting 3rd at the tourney... I got 9th. :/
I also lost to Awesome! but they were REALLY close games... but I went Falco? <_< Again I was... on drugs or something...
From now on when I speak to use I'll be using this color. XD
Thanks, I'm actually confidant that I will place 2nd or 1st. Depends whether or not I get put up against Dao. /only player going that I know of and he beat me last time due to two fails by myself.
I went Marth -_- and we ended up going FD.
I then went Snake and picked NORFAIR. -_- that's like our worst stage against Diddy....

LA is about 40~ minutes from me? IIRC.
The majority of "locals" are 15-25~ minutes away from me. (Cerritos, and that general area) which I think is only 30~ or less from LA.
At least going to locals would help.... if you prove to be doing well in locals - I find parents to be more supportive... if they see you are making money, they start to support you more and more..... it's how my dad was for me in Melee.... I started winning, he started driving further for me.
Starting out with Brawl now. Lost to basically 3 PR'd, a BRoomer, and an awesome Diddy. (Dao)... which he states isn't good enough. XD If I'm losing to the best, no matter where I go I'll be losing to people of their level.. so while he supports me getting better, he won't drive further then 20 minutes from our house.
However I have my friend Bam.... who's ****ing awesome. <3 lol Also payed for my last tourney.
You should come to more tournaments. I'd like to brawl you sometime.

XP I really would've liked to have bough my ticket before it jumped $200 from when I first saw it, ugh...>_> don't want to let budgeting get in the way of enjoying myself there, since I pretty muchnever go on trips anywhere, and I'm kinda going more for the chance to actually meet several friends in person than the tournament (not like I'll actually win anything x_x). There's always time to make up money later, even if not having it sucks in the meantime! .....

Really liking Mario a lot, particularly his aerials and Fireball approaches, but of course Dedede and MK are such huge problems for him. >_> Trying to pick up some characters I havent used in a while due to the precision you need for them that can make them tough to play online, like Fox...I really should be getting ready for Genesis, trip-wise. >.< And how about your metagame?

Yup. You summed that up pretty well. I was thinking about swicth, but transform can be slow at times and I didn't wanna get f-smashed and lose like that.

lol, cqc is close quarters combat. DK has moves with much longer range, so crowding him may be prudent in some cases.
I speak from experience. Trust me, there is much worse.
