Your Falco didn't need to cg with those combos. It was probably from the lag. Or Peach's DI. I think I'll use Kirby against MK for now. I might try Luigi seeing how great you did.

I also used Marth in Melee, but I didn't use him often because he was so broken lol. Though honestly I think, had I used him more, he could have easily overtaken Roy and Ganon.

My story? Alright. It's long, but I'll tell you.

I started with Melee two years ago when I was 14. The first character that caught my attention was Being the "I wanna kick a** with princesses" kind of person, I was naturally attracted to her as a character.

I was a mega noob. I could barely beat a level 7 cpu and still used items. After a few weeks, I started unlocking more and more characters. It was then that I unlocked Like most 14 year old fanboys, I liked him immediately. He quickly became my main, even though my skill was pretty terrible.

Though I liked the game, I rarely played it for a while. However, that all changed once I saw my first glimpse of competitive play on youtube. I was nearly 16 and I started to play more competitive after seeing tournament vids. I was still playing Melee since I didn't have Brawl yet. It was then that I developed a liking for I decided to use him as my main along with .

I started learning more advanced techniques and combos like wavedashing and stuff like that. Though I still wasn't at a very high level, I felt I was growing. I tinkered with a bit but was never as interested in her as I am now. I'll get to her more later.

During that time I downloaded SSB64 onto my computer, and had some fun playing as and , though it wasn't serious at all.

Anyway, a few months after I turned 16 I finally got my own copy of Brawl. I was very disappointed at 's exclusion from the game, and also 's complete change in playstyle. I decided to pick up again as my main.

So I had those four characters and I wasn't terrible at the game. I was content.

Then I used

She just seemed to fit perfectly with me (in a non-perverted way ). I took great liking to her and decided to play her more. She quickly surpassed all of my other characters and became my main.

I then joined this forum this past November, and since then have picked up a few other characters as well as a dramatic increase in skill. I now use these characters:

I have always thought Mario was your best , but you're good with so many characters. Snake is pretty beast so keeping him 1st is probably best. I'll still keep pushing your Mario for 1st though :o

I don't really have MKs I can play against. Trying to figure out which of my characters to use against him . I can't seem to land a rest over his nado either 0_^.

Skillwise, I use both equally. I just use Zelda more often.

FTilt lock is easy: rack up about 30% damage, then just keep rammin that attack button. Then once you see your opponent about to get out of it, finish the lock with a move appropriate for the situation, and BOOM! You just got yourself 70% free damage.


My Snake game improves very slowly, but he's moving. Was Snake hard for you to grasp at first?

Both. I've been attempting him off and on lately. Though he's proven to be my biggest challenge yet. I mainly used Snake today because I knew Happy (the "!" guy) is an only Snake player. I thought it would be funny to have 3 Snakes running around blowing s**t up

But in all seriousness, I have been working with Snake a bit over the past few weeks. Not much success though
