Don't forget guys, Nintendo choose the DLC characters, not Sakurai. At least for the first season pass, that was the case. During the last direct, Sakurai said the new 6 DLC characters are already chosen, and that direct was recorded last november, so in case you want to go full apophenia-mode...

Smash can really give exposure to new franchises. If Dante join Smash as DLC along a DMC port for the switch, many Nintendo fans will at least give a shot to the game.

It came out last month, but only the Switch port. I doubt it will be elegible for VGA 2018, but Neku would be pretty rad.
