I think traditional fighting games are hard to play at first, and melee is easier to play at first, but melee gets much harder as you go on, and the others are not as hard as you get better, if that makes any sense...

question about the raptor boost on platforms: What if a platform is so small and ur opponent is in the middle of the platform and in all likelyhood he might do the attacking animation while getting up? Would this situation ever occur? and then it would be better to shield then...right?

I would say shiek cuz she ***** my mains (marth and falcon) and my fox sucks vs her. I also hate link cuz i lost to one in the first tournament i went to.

Pillaring is not comboing. Pillaring is pressuring someones shield so they can't really do anything but roll or something.

Well, according to matchups, shiek would be the best. She only loses a little to fox and can have some trouble vs falco, and then there is herself.
