I'm a Dedede main and I've had tons of success zoning out all the Ryu's I've ran into online. I know it's early and nobody is that good with him yet, but I think that's Ryu's biggest weakness. I've had much more trouble with non-zoning characters. Ryu's speed is only average and he's a bit...

I played a ton of matches today as DDD. I can't notice anything. I even tried out the Jethammer on several occassions and it feels the same. It's sad that Dedede got nothing, crossing my fingers for next update.

Well, it appears they gave the character many considered to be the worst in game, Charizard, a huge buff. From what I've read his upthrow now kills and can now combo off dthrow. So they're making some good buffs. Just guessing here but it's hasn't been too long since all the Diddy mains switched...

Haven't played him yet but his lack of disjointed hitboxes and range seems to make him rather easy to zone out. I had a lot of success with Dedede keeping many Ryus away today on FG. He couldn't really approach or get past my gordo wall and Ftilt. Granted it's early and nobody is good with him...

Really surprised they nerfed the hitbox. If they were going to do that you'd think they change the animation to match it atleast? It's awkward how they don't match now. And seemingly not nerfing any of the other top tiers doesn't make sense. Shiek and Rosa needed a nerf more than Diddy.

I played maybe 10 matches today on For Glory, didn't notice any changes. Granted I wasn't really looking for them either though, I didn't think Nintendo was doing any balancing in this update.

Yeah, I'd definitely agree with this. Does Shiek even have a bad matchup? The only problem with picking Shiek as your secondary is after you get good with her you'll start asking yourself why you're using Dedede as a primary because Shiek is so much better! Also she's very likely to get nerfed...

Bleh, another bad matchup unfortunately. I don't have a ton of experience against good Luigi mains but the ones I've played have made me feel almost helpless to do anything because we can't approach and Luigi can outcamp us. The good luigi mains I've played sit back and space with fireball...
