    I'm just an Ice Climbers mainer from Melee who greatly dislikes the current discussion about the "leak". There's really nothing special about someone who hates people who make fake leaks.

    Hey, what moveset changes/buffs are you expecting Charizard to get in Smash 4? I was playing a little bit of Pokémon Trainer today, which I don't usually do and... Charizard's moveset is kinda weird, so I thought "Hey, I should ask the biggest Charizard fan I know how he expects Charizard to play in the new game". So yeah :p

    Thanks for typing such an insightful response! I didn't know Charizard's moves were confirmed already. Hmm... I suppose it being a standalone fighter is already a considerable buff and Fire Blitz seems interesting.

    Hopefully Charizard will be great in Smash 4. Ridley will need some competition as far as dragon characters are concerned, after all.

    I don't really expect Charizard to shine in competitive play, but I hope that with the removal of the Pokemon Trainer that we'll be seeing a lot more Charizard players.

    And yeah, Ridley just might become Charizard's foil, if he wasn't one already with Little Mac.

    You're right in not expecting it to shine. If it does, good, if it doesn't, at least you are not going to be disappointed. I am not sure about you, but I am actually hoping my favorite characters aren't top tier in Smash 4. I want them to be mid tier... not the best, but not Brawl Ganondorf/Zelda level of crapiness either.

    Classes will be starting soon, and SSB43DS is coming out in a matter of weeks. Sakurai...please make all of this waiting worth it.

    Ah, fun. I'd love to stay in longer, but I'm paying 20k a year... lol. I'm super conflicted because as I've gone through college I've come to hate my major, but I'm really good at it and it pays really well and basically guarantees job security... Entering the work force is both what I need to do most and want the least xD

    I've had conflicted feelings on whether to even continue doing my major.

    Because I've had to take so many different classes, I've feared that my art skills have atrophied over that time. It's also expensive going to the college I'm at, which is another problem.

    I feel ya. I stay in computer science because I need the job security; without medical insurance I die lol. But as much as I hate being a code monkey, I love doing game dev stuff, so I figure I can do it on the side to keep myself from going crazy. If I get really, really lucky, one of my side projects will get popular and I can just be a game designer xD.

    BTW, about that Charizard decal you showed me earlier, I'm still very much interested in it. But I've been preoccupied with writing papers for my summer history class, so I wasn't able to try to go to the etsy shop.

    I understand, I've been super busy this summer too. I've been working an internship for 40 hours a week, with a 2 hour commute... It feels like there's no such thing as free time anymore xD.

    Luckily mostly all I do at the internship is post in the Ridley thread xD

    It's even more hilarious in hindsight that I used this avatar before/at that time. I knew there would be a reason to bring it back someday.

    To be honest, I've been thinking about sending you a friend request for awhile. We support many of the same characters, and you yourself seem like a very intelligent individual. And now one of our most wanted characters is actually in Smash. Hopefully this will lead to a bright future for the other characters we so strongly support. : )

    Mewtwo is often thought of as one of the main 'faces' of Generation VI, the generation that Game Freak has been heavily pushing this past year or so. It is the first Pokemon to be revealed with the new Mega Evolution mechanic, with two different forms available. The only other pokemon to receive this treatment is Charizard.

    Sakurai has said that he goes to Game Freak to ask which characters he should use to represent the latest generation in Smash. Considering that Mewtwo was also planned to be made playable in every other game in the series (and only got in Melee), it makes sense for them to push Mewtwo.

    Yes, that all makes sense. And I think it does help Mewtwo's case a lot. I just don't think it automatically means he's in.

    I don't know, maybe I'm just a little overly pessimistic about Mewtwo after Greninja, and because he's my most wanted character.

    True, but sometimes I think the fanbase might be overthinking it. I'll be more than happy if he's confirmed, but his exclusion isn't going to dissuade me from getting the 3DS version.

    I do wish that if he wasn't playable, Sakurai should have shown him off in the beginning.

    I agree with pretty much all of your sentiments there. I've already got the 3DS version pre-ordered, nothing is gonna hold that off. I love smash for smash, and I have a lot of respect for Sakurai as a developer, and his character choices aren't going to change that.
