Speaking of, I think it's time for me to return to my ashen heap and slumber until the next game, see everyone for Smash Bros Fisticuffs.

I think I get most annoyed when Sakurai asks me if I know what Fire Emblem is. Yes Sakurai-san, you introduced me to them over a decade ago. Now they keep bringing their friends over, and that one never wears shoes.

Aside from the obvious sword fighting and slot machine gun, I'd add a lot of feints and mix-ups into Layton, such as giving him a counter that doesn't counter, but rather moves him to the opposite side of the enemy as a set up for any move. That slot machine gun, I'd have its firing strength...

I really wish MvC3 hadn't biased me against DMC in general. Whenever an online match popped up with Dante, Trish, or Vergil my reaction was a slow sigh of accepting the match was going to be an all-out cheesefest. And I LIKE the DMC games, stylishly keeping enemies aloft with repetitive...

I have to point out the hand gesture reminds me of a Kamen Rider transformation gesture, and in NMH3 Travis is introduced as a pastiche of Kamen Rider Decade (with the suit, style, and the Just a Passing Assassin line)

Makes me sad that ROB has no stage, when a lab with pneumatic pistons going up and down, Dr. Hector in the background controlling them, would work great. Little Smicks wandering around to bite your ankles, and lit dynamite dropping into the stage.

Looking at various character suggestions one thing I'm VERY curious about is how they'd handle animating characters like Gordon Freeman for example, a character renown for having NO discernable personality, intentionally. Would they make his idle animations paranoid, glancing over his shoulder...
