Southwest [Feb 21, 2015] Play It Again Smash 4, PM, and Melee (Coweta, Oklahoma)

I might be able to swing by if the family is not going to be coming with me. Don't count on me, but I'll let you know if I can swing by. Coming from Joplin, Missouri so it is a bit out of my way.

    Ignore your Win/Loss Ratio.

I am just the opposite. I can't beat anyone more than two or three times before they leave, but there have been dozens of instance where I lost 10+ games against the opponent. Playing against players that I could easily win against made me develop bad habits. Playing against players that...

If you are going to use Challonge, can you set it up for people to register? It will give us a good idea on the number of people going.

How do you deal with/learn from Losing Streaks in For Glory?

I feel like I am probably older than most in the gaming community, and have some advice to offer. Copy/Pasta from another thread:

What do you do when you get dismantled by an opponent?

I beat 90%+ of the opponents I come across, but I only have a 54% win rate. I will never quit when being beat by an opponent. I don't learn anything when I win. Most people that lose to me leave after 2-3 games, but people who are much better than me stay for 20-40 games. There was a meta...

Why online mode is poisonous to competitive play

I play CS:GO online, and have been gaming online since 1998. In short, I will say that if CS:GO can be played competitively online, SSB4 can also. My reasoning starts with my own experience, and that my only way to practice is online. I have a wired adapter, and can get less than 60ms to...

Southwest [Feb 21, 2015] Play It Again Smash 4, PM, and Melee (Coweta, Oklahoma)

I am not for sure that I can attend yet (coming from Joplin) but if I do, I will bring a setup. Smash 4, WiiU, and 24" 120hz gaming monitor.

Wondering if this has been discovered/ has a name...

Yeah, we call it the Deku-Wolf-Link. Some dude mentioned it in a smash boards thread. BRB going to check this out.

    Getting destroyed by left/right dodge

I play ZSS as a main and have issues trying to punish people who dodge left and right. I understand the grace period to hit between dodges, but unfortunately ZSS' down smash is not a 360 degree one-hit-wonder to punish dodges like many other characters. I feel like I am a pretty good player...

Fort Smash Monthly II - Fort Smith, AR

Feel free to add me Kami, I can't say I will be that much of a challenge though. NNID: 3870x2

Fort Smash Monthly II - Fort Smith, AR

Kami was on a whole other level than everyone at the tournament. Using a Wii mote and nun-chuck, he only dropped a single game the entire tournament due to a suicide. I should also note that he said he is a brawl player (not PM) and that he doesn't play Sm4sh as much. The tournament went...

How does the whole grabbing game work?

To be fair, the level 9 CPU doesn't provide much of a challenge in the first place, but the air dodges can get really annoying from time to time.

Smash Wii U Will this router work for WiiU (ssb) online?

It looks like the dgn2200 is an ADSL modem. The first thing I would do is to check your latency using the ping program from a command prompt in windows to other locations in Australia. This is important because if your latency is above ~150, Smash Bros is going to be nearly unplayable, and...
