The Dark Knight Rises:A Smash 4 Meta Knight Guide

The Dark Knight Rises:A Smash 4 Meta Knight Guide

Dude this is amazing. Thank you for the time that you clearly put into this. Any tips on stage selection as far as what stages are MK friendly and which ones I should ban like hell? Lol

I'll be looking into that, and will update the guide sometime. Thank you for the support.
I have been maining Meta Knight since day 1, and I think that there are very few things that you missed. I think that things that you missed are rather obscure, but I'll point them out to you:
1. D-air can be used as a mix up out of a SHFF to get a jab lock because of the semi-spike angle.
2. F-throw can get a guaranteed U-air into a footstool, then a jablock after.
3. D-throw into perfect pivot B-air, then a jab lock
4. Guaranteed B-air off of a ledge trump

I still think that your guide is great, and I think that 2 might not work anymore, but this is still a wonderful guide that I need to hide from my friends so that way they can't beat me.

Thank you for this support. I'll be adding these as soon as I can.
And yes, 2 still does work.
Extremely well made guide! I'm picking up Meta Knight honestly and have been wondering who to look out for!

Thanks for the support!
Really good guide! You really highlight the correct play to play MK. My only problem is that you said up throw is useless. On Stages like Battlefield, it can actually kill at decent kill percents. Sure it is not great, but I wouldn't call it completely useless

I put more emphasis on the Uthrow; thanks for reminding me!
i just pick up metal knight and this is helping me alot
great work
Very good guide I was going to make a guide to Meta Knight, but I found yours and found it very helpful. You missed how a two hit b-air puts your opponent into jab-lock, allowing for a easy three down-tilts then combo into something else which I was dissapointed about but that might just be something you missed as a beginner to the franchise not knowing a lot of the meta (get it???) behind the game. ps. When you wrote MK I thought that you were talking about mortal kombat being a fan of both that and SSB.

I actually added the 2-hit b-air thing. Anyway, thanks for the review!!!
First off, please, PLEASE dont listen to TriforceOfAura. His / Her guide is the one with boatloads of misinformation, and all of his / he suggestions were wrong.
As for your guide... its actually not bad. Its not as in-depth as the one by Bonk!, but it has pretty accurate information with an accurate description of his moveset. Something to improve on would be to talk more in-depth about matchups. Then you can focus on expanding your info in general (by talking more in-depth about combos, ATs, jab locks, etc.)

Thanks!
It wasn't really supposed to be as in-depth as Bonk!'s. This was meant for newcomers, as Bonk!'s is more advanced. Anyway, thanks again, and I'll use this to improve the guide.
I hate to be the guy to say this, but You've Much Yet To Learn. Not a particularly bad guide, except for a boatload of misinformation. He is one of the hardest characters to kill with, you almost COMPLETELY skipped Dimensional Cape, his best killing tool, overglorified the crap out of Shuttle Loop, and didn't mention much about OOS options, matchups, or other things. I'm trying to improve my MK guide, and you oughta as well. Not trying to sound like a douche, sorry if I come across as one.

I forgot Dimensional Cape? Dang it. I'll fix that.
There are a lot of characters that KO worse, and with that huge down throw-->up air string-->up B combo, it does make it better. FOR A CHARACTER THAT RELIES SO HEAVILY ON COMBOS, he KOs decently. That's literally what I said in the guide-I compared him to other characters that are fast and deal low damage like him and I saw his KO power as decent. His down smash is crap though, and his up smash's KO power is a bit low for a smash. I agree with you on that.
Pretty much everyone agrees that Up B is his best KO move, because it's very reliable. His down B is pretty underrated though-when you punish with it, it's AMAZING.
While I honestly don't agree with you, thanks for the review.
Thanks for the great review, gave me all the basic fundamentals I need to start learning meta-knight
