I just thought of something that may help either argument. I dunno.

The second picture of Lady Palutena.

Look at how she's holding the staff. Now, if this was legit, the argument could be it was an oversight on Sakurai's part. Because if this was fake, I'd think the person who made it would've had Lady Palutena's whole hand wrapped around the staff. I dunno, just an observation.

And her staff is still outlined up until it meets her hair. But I don't know if that proves fake.

What kind of information got leaked? Pokemon? Game features? And how far back did the leaks go?

It leaked a lot.
What typing the final starters would be, Mewtwo having two version exclusive forms (before we even knew that "Awakened Mewtwo" was a Mega Evolution), the Professor Sycamore's name, the fact he'd give you a choice between the Kanto starters, Fairy type, bunch of Pokémon like Pancham, Pangoro, Inkay, Malamar, Helioptile, Gogoat, etc., and some moves like Draining Kiss and Parabolic Charge. There's more, but that's a lot to mention as it is.

...You're REALLY missing the point of my post. I think you're a bit stuck in your mode of thinking. It doesn't matter that Wolf is more feral in his fighting style than Fox. You're too focused on immediate visuals and technicalities to understand where I'm coming from.

What? Do you think I don't realize that Wolf swipes and rakes with his claws while Fox delivers punches and various kicks? Wolf flips about in the air and slashes about while Fox primarily uses flying kicks? Their blasters have different properties? Their shield have slightly different properties (you missed that one)? Their high-speed dashes move at two different angles? One flies out with fire while the other one has no such effect but uses a kick???

There's no denial going on. I know and use both characters, and with full awareness of all their differences in looks, attributes, and properties, my stance remains the same with full conviction. No you can't play them exactly the same, but that's not what it means to be a derivative. No player worth their salt would play Akuma or Dan or Sean on even Ken like they do Ryu. They all need to be approached uniquely, their attacks treated uniquely, and more often than not their abilities differ visually.

...But their foundations remain the same throughout.
