Ayy. I kayaked today too. Sticking barefeet into the water feels so good but it kills your momentum, rip.and kayaking
Persona has always had great music as well, I'm somewhat into P2 portable and every now and then I just sit and listen to the music, then switch from the remixed to the original and both versions are great. In the end, I think Persona 2 is the strongest of the main series, followed by 3, then 4, then 1. Interested in 5 and how it turns out; the art style alone looks gorgeous.
I never really played the Persona games, tbh.Who even enjoys Persona? Not trying to nait or ****. I'm curious on why people like it.
I don't like it, but i see everyone else differ.
NerdI've played them all (well, the mainline ones. Not some of the stuff like First Mission, a JP only cell phone game, but most of them):

- Persona 1 isn't that great, it's decent. PSP version does it some justice, but the PS1 version, Revelations, is atrocious. Cut out a lot of things, including an entire campaign.
- Persona 2 is amazing, and by far my favorite. The story and characters are really nice and it's split over two very long games. Sadly, the PSP version of Eternal Punishment was canned outside of JP for weird reasons, but the original version can be played on the PSN). Innocent Sin's PSP version came to US and is a great remake. I recommend playing it above all the others. Of the duology, I do like EP more.
- Persona 3 is good. Of the PS2 games, I think it's got much better gameplay, but the story isn't as well written as 4's at times. FES changes up some of the stuff, adding new things and changing elements from the original (like a lot of the tests), and adds a new campaign with more dungeons. Portable lacks the second campaign but gives you Minako as a protagonist.
- Persona 4... is, well, 4. While I certainly think Naoto is amazing and all, the gameplay is kind of lacking. There's much less dungeon-exploring. Story is very well written, and so are some of the characters, but I didn't think the twist was... that great, to be honest. It's much easier than 3 and a lot more merciful in difficulty. Heck, even the Ultimate Boss isn't as difficult if I want to go that far. Golden adds a lot of content, but very little dungeon wise (literally one dungeon). It caused some division for reasons that would happen given the direction this game took, down to the nitty gritty things.
- Q is essentially an EO game with Persona elements, and it's solid. Very fanservcice-y on the aspect of seeing the P3 and P4 cast together.
- 4 Arena is made by Arc, and Arc makes amazing fighting games. Enough said.
- P4D doesn't really have any reason to exist but it does. At least some of the character designs are nice, but the gameplay is like a toned down Project DIVA. Just get Deemo instead.
Overall, I get why people don't like them over the mainline SMT games. It's a little toned down (especially the later titles in the series) compared to SMT's combat, it lacks the morality choices for the most part, etc.
Hey, he didn't do anything wrong. You talking **** on the series where you beat up Hitler with a Stand?
Eww, Pad WarriorsI never really played the Persona games, tbh.
I have gotten the chance to play P4 Arena at out new bi-weekly venue here in San Antonio though and it seemed like a fun fighting game overall, if a little over the top. The singer girl that fought with a microphone + Stand was really interesting in how she seemed to play and seemed really fun as well. But I hate hate hate arcade sticks. The had USF4 up last time I was there and god it felt so bad.
And while I am talking about games they had there. Guilty Gear (think it was Xrd) seems fun, liked the girl that fought with the roses and guns as she seemed really fun to use with an interesting playstyle but I still hate arcade sticks. Why is SF 3rd Strike so ****ing fast. Skull Girls seemed kinda meh of the little I got to lay of it, though Fukaua or w/e her name is seemed kinda fun, didn't get to play it that much though so wasn't able to get a strong impression either way. And I can't figure out Tekken, but I kinda blame that on the arcade stick lol.
I'm a pad "warrior" apparently lol.
Just admit you're in it to steal my waifu...I ****ing love skull girls but I also just want to combo into command grab supers or air throws, but those are always not optimal dmg so I get sad
kurri you're breaking my heartEww, Pad Warriors
Play me scrub. You'll lose to a pad warrior.Eww, Pad Warriors
I've been testing out with MUGEN because it's the only TFG type game I have at the moment, the lack of a left shoulder button kind of messes me up but it's actually decent.GCN controller for fighting games isnt that bad if you get a button config that works well for you(which is kinda hard for me), the main benefit are the notches in the analog that make it real easy to tell what direction youre holding for inputs
I still much rather prefer my DS4 controller though
Oh don't worry. Until I save up enough to get a decent stick for PS4, I'm stuck being a... being a... a Pad Warrior.kurri you're breaking my heart
i can use a stick but i actually got super used to playing on pad for a while and i might try to keep it that way next time i get into a real arcade fighter again
I once played a rock... it beat me 9-1. It just felt that bad for me that it let me win a game. I'm sure you'd beat me even harder. Nah I'll stick to doing challenge mode until I feel comfortable.Play me scrub. You'll lose to a pad warrior.
Being self-taught >>>>>>>>>>> anyway.attn all high school seniors; drop out and don't go to college, the system is collapsing anyway
Properly performing the seiza position is SUPPOSED to be uncomfortable, you know, though it gets easier with practice. So on a completely unrelated note I tried sitting in the pose Geralt does in the Witcher 3 main menu, it hurts like hell, would not recommend

Isn't that what Beowulf is for?I ****ing love skull girls but I also just want to combo into command grab supers or air throws, but those are always not optimal dmg so I get sad
>:v Wiggle your enormous stick a little more, arcade stick user!Eww, Pad Warriors
Probably the only thing missing in @ TheDarkMysteryMan 's collage.Wiggle your enormous stick a little more
I've been watching some videos on YouTube and the game looks hella fun. It seems to rely too much on resets though. At least the ninja guy with Kyo's fireball.I am having fun with Yatagarasu so far. Aja is life, Aja is olve.
PSN / Steam name?Play me scrub. You'll lose to a pad warrior.
In other words, [vortex INTENSIFIES]It's less about resets and more that the combos are short and not super damaging.
