Same here. NX is launching next year maybe they'll be an NX version of this game that would have the IC's along with a SSE sequel that features all 60 characters (presumably what it would be at the end).
What is a fourth party character? I am just curious, I have never heard that before.

Thank you for the clarification. I suppose I was somewhat confused because Duck Tales: Remastered was on my mind. That being said, Scrooge is obviously not a video-game character. I was not really thinking, ha ha.
Odds are it probably isn't launching next year.
Similar to how second party doesn't actually exist, either. The term is meaningless. You're either first or third-party. Some people refer to characters not created directly by Nintendo as second-party, however in reality, they're either third-party (if Nintendo does not own them) or first-party (if Nintendo owns them). There is no in-between. If Nintendo even co-owns a character they're first-party.

That's what I've been saying ever since I saw someone comment that elsewhere here (maybe it was you). I thought about it and was like "Ok, the Shovel is what's supposed to make him stand out, but he really wouldn't be that much different from a generic sword fighter." The Sword Mii Fighter has a downward stab attack as a custom, and the only difference in Shovel Knight's movements is he "shovels" instead of swings (and he still swings in midair).
Personally, I want a drunken brawler mii. A mii with stagger in each step. =)

The only other Mii Fighter they could really do is Mage.
I dunno. I think they've covered everything a Mii Fighter could realistically do.
Where is Zero? Don't give me the argument of him beign a Mii costume. Since you included Protoman there.
There might be another round of voting for other Capcom characters.
I don't see it in there. Only"Z" characters are Zoroark and Zael.
You could've done one and just forgot to add it to the OP. Some others are missing too, like Jumpman.
I completely and totally 100% agree with everything, ESPECIALLY the last point. I really think Shovel Knight is likely to get his own Amiibo, but also supporting other Nintendo Amiibo in Shovel Knight is a distinct possibility on its own even without Shovel Knight getting his own Amiibo. That's the best fit IMO for their "unexpected" but "megaton" announcement.
You know, it's funny. It use to be to say you don't want third party characters and people would laugh at you. But I'm seeing the sentiments turns around. I've been saying for a while that there is a limit to the amount for third party characters you can add, and I think this would be the limit. As an aside, I did here similar negativity on Twitter and Reddit (though more were doubting SK's inclusion)
I also think we could get a trophy.
There's tons of great Nintendo characters to add. In the future I could eventually see a couple more decent third-parties, but I don't see a need to do any more for this game. We already got three new third-parties now.
lol get out Isabelle, Tom Nook is da man for Smash 5.
The video is spot on. Only disagreement is Cross over Elma, but I haven't played the game so it remains to be seen who is the character that sticks out from that game.
