Such is the definition of Phantom Wings.

I forgot to mention that those 9 stages are also selectable via random as well. I don't remember it exactly, but they replace stages like 75m and such.

You can't replace Rumble Falls with Wifi waiting room because the Rumble Fall effects would all still be included. You could replace Battlefield with WWR(probably) but why?

9 additional stages that work without replacing anything. Replays work fine and do not clash with the SSS code, and the stages all use Battlefield's music instead of WWRs single track. I have WWR available online in this way actually.

There's also Maestro's SSS, but he seems to have dropped it.
Votes for inclusion of this in the final build.

Gonna look into the new snapshot deal, but yes the dash cancel code was removed due to it having unforseen issues.

Are the crash fixes for it still apart of the one put back in though? Or is it really the OLD one with the crashes that will still occur at the end of matches?

Angel, the updater checks for a group of files, and if the checksum doesn't match the one on the server list it replaces completely the one on your computer. That means custom GCTs and Common5 files will be completely lost. Battle portraits (InfFace###.brres) will not be.

The updater gets:
- RSBE01.gct
- Fighter/Character/FitCharacter.pac
- Fighter/Character/FitCharacterMotionEtc.pac
- Common3.pac
- Common5.pac (not sure if you can choose to not replace common5, I've never updated textures...)
- Strap_en.pac
- Whatever handles the menu.

Any file downloaded by the updater will overwrite completely any old file of the same name and in the same location. I'd recommend updating manually if you want to keep those things, at least for the GCT, and saving your common5 somewhere else and then overwriting B+'s if you have to.
There is no common5.pac with the downloads anymore since it made people freeze.

Let me work on uploading that snapshot...

INterested in peoples thoughts on Sheik + and Jiggly +. Sheik's f-tilt (I may be wrong as I alwyas may be) seems to knock people back further, making it a bit harder to combo. Jiggly seems to have increased aerial mobility or... something. Anyone else noticing this/has opinions?

You must space it correctly in order to combo from it. Before, the main hitbox (not the tip) could lock people effortlessly (in Brawl) and then was changed so that the main hitbox didn't lock people but rather hit them away as intended while if you spaced the Ftilt correctly (by hitting with the tip of her foot) you were rewarded and thus, could combo off of Ftilt.

It's nothing new lol. Both of the things you posted have been that way for awhile. (Sheik's Ftilt even longer).

Like rest dealing darkness damage, Wario's grab attack coin damage, Toon Link dair spike aura (this one puzzles me), Ganondorf's bair electric damage, and others I may not have noticed.

Is there a practical reason for this, or only aesthetics?

The Jigglypuff rest was originally fire, but because fire attacks do less KB to Squirtle and more to Ivysaur ( like elemental stuff), it was change to Dark to be neutral to both Squirtle and Ivysaur


EDIT: Just a small error with the updater...even if you say to NOT override your GCT, it still does...yeah

Aesthetics. Wario's coin damage was taken from BB for the lulz. Y Link had a fire spike in melee so it was brought back, but Ivysaur still gets hit harder by fire and Squirtle hit weaker so we went with aura. See above for Darkness Rest. Basically, most are for aesthetics though some are the only way to balance out Pokemon weaknesses.

Is the auto updater freaking out for anyone else. I can usually update 3-4 characters at a time then it says my internet has a bad connection.

Then it must be psychosomatic, because I'm talking in terms of changes from GSH2, (with the snapshot recently posted) not changes from Vanilla Brawl.

Thanks for destroying the best thing you've ever done to Brawl+ (i.e., sliding dsmash). Also, SSE Jungle is a crappy stage and I would much rather play on Hyrule.

As for the removal of sliding downsmash, I understand why. I would still like to see D-smashes able to be shortcutted from run. Any chance we might see something like this even with the current friction settings.

You can already down smash straight out of run, even with the old dash cancel code (v2.1).


EDIT: wait, no you can't (TSON >:( ). You have to stop your dash brief, and then down on analog + a. nvm

Guru and I were playing this set today and great job. I got thrown off a bit with the Marth not being able to double fair but it's all good. I understand why it was implemented. So far so good..hope this isn't considered as spam. Also, Guru likes Ivysaur a lot with the recent fixes.

so two things that I don't like about the codeset:

-the camera is too far out
-the lack of hitlag

they don't affect the gameplay so much, which I find quite enjoyable, they're more of an aesthetic taste

I'm actually quite pleased with this build. I was worried from the beta builds, but 6.0 seems like a solid codeset. The fastest, most balanced brawl+ so far.

Ok, so Ive played around with it a bit and I must say that i like this codeset. I actually like the sliding around. It flows nicely and I like the faster feel over original Brawl. I haven't noticed anything that really bugs me yet besides the side dash.

BTW: The updater was too slow so I did it manually. I edited the main screen to say "Brawl+ Near Gold 6.0" myself and I'll probably edit some more images...infact I might just remodel the menu just for fun...or maybe I wont. I'm still trying to figure out how dantarionX made his menus red.

Anyone else feel like marth's fair was slowed down even more? Also it feels like Bowsers bthrow got nerfed a little more again, but then again this is all at a first glance. Any thoughts?

Edit: Was Meta's tornado ending lag cut a little!? If so then thank god, the move finally feels like it has a purpose. I could be wrong because I barely used that move in the last few beta's. If anyone else thinks so please let me know so I don't feel like an idiot.

I still haven't downloaded it yet. Have the final smash freezes been fixed in this version? Will they be fixed in the final?

Yes, MK, Falcon, and everyone else's final smash works swimmingly.


And yeah. MK's tornado endlag was toned down. He also has transcendant priority on it now, which I love.

Sweet finally everyones final smashes work...and that is some of the best news ive ever heard. MK needed his tornado fixed up a little. I still can't help but feel like Marth's fair is slower....not by much, a very small amount...maybe im going crazy. The sets amazing from what I can tell so far either way. All my characters feel great, really spot on for the most part. Except PS2 isn't frozen anymore? At least for me it isn't, i should probably redownload the gct.

Edit: One more change im wondering about, Luigi utilt, more knockback? Certainly seems like it. Seems like a half combo half kill move sort of move now, except you wont get kills until like 140% or so. Again, this is a first glance. It always seems like theres little nerfs here and there with Luigi in every set, maybe people are realizing the awesome power of Luigi? Also fellow Charizard users be warned, it seems neutral b now has startup lag even if we jump right before we use it.

Haha never mind about the marth fair thing, im pretty sure it wasn't changed, I forgot my buffer...

T'was.

Endlag was cut; it was a horrible move the way it was, basically unsafe on shield and hit with so much lag.

To compensate, the move was given transcendent priority making it MUCH easier to hit MK out of the move. Every projectile in the game, and any move with a decent hitbox will knock him out if he uses it from a distance, and its still fully possible to shield the move and punish the endlag if he uses it close up.

Glad somebody noticed the change, because I love it myself. I use MK all the time in friendlies and it felt just wrong to have tornado always be the worst option. Now its a use at your own risk type move, because a smart player will punish it, but the lag cut makes it a good mixup.

I think I still have my common5 somewhere and I rarely get freezes. Anyways if it doesn't serve any purpose, should I delete it?
Also, my screen still says RC 5.0
Yeah I noticed that as well. Any particular reason for this? What does it mean? :confused:
