It seems nice, but I doubt there will be much or even any participation from the people of RUM. Some people will have problems of trasportation and other more dedicated to Smash already have other comprimises. So the only thing I can say, is Carlos , go there and show them what advance play is.

Yeah, pretty much no one from this side is going unfortunately. Everyone is busy studying for finals or something. Who's going to be your teammate Carlos?

Uriel's name is also Carlos. I wan't to take this time to post this, none or you should take it to seriously but it is actually a fact. These mix-ups happend because some people just don't come to the activities, we all understand that sometimes people have more important stuff to do, but it wouldn't hurt to make some sacrifices and do all you can to show up to any actiivity. At first nobody seemed to know each other but trough getting thogether in smashfest a somewhat more thight comunity is formed, the people on this comunity know each other play style quite well and thier skill, the level of play between this people increases more rapidly due to the constant improvement of the comunity as a whole, so next time there is an activity all the people that haven't showed to any of them please do you best to show up, you wouln't want to be left behind.

There has been a mix-up at the Dec. 17 tournament. The prizes are SPONSORED by Restaurante el Castillo en el Mayaguez Resort And Casino and will be HELD at Centro Comunal en Mayaguez (Pronto Detalles Especßficos). Good luck to those that will be going to the tournament at san patricio tomorrow.

Thanks for clearing that up. I thought it was being held at the hotel.

I got Pwnt by some dudes by the name of blazing (tha winnarz OMG). They used link and samus against my friend's shiek and my peach. That link just kept pwning me. I could play against the samus good enough, but link went in and I was out in seconds. This guys went to the finals were they had to beat the winners of the right section and they needed to take them out 6 times XD. It was my first tourny anyways and I got my *** handed to me, and it felt great.

I hate team battles! The Bichotes(us in SWF) didn't won. Those noobs were just spamming their way to the top. But ya'll know that on 1 vs. 1 this will never happen.

To all the ones that went there. What where the rules of the tournament? Team attack on or off, banned stages, and all the other stuff. Plus who won?

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOOLOLOLOLOLOL.

The team that won was Andres and some other guy. They used Samus , Link , Peach and Capt. Falcon in the finals. They played advanced but still need some work from what I saw. They play really well though. But since the screen lagged I cannot know for sure.

yeah the lag was a real annoying thing. When I was eliminated it was because of a peach that kept mashing the whorenado on a platform of fountain of dreams. And since the lag was there my whorenado didn't come as fast as his , which he did by mashing the buttom. Gawd, he didn't even used turnips on the whole game. Ah well, let's just leave it for the next one.

Me and 3 of my n00b friends are thinking of going to that Dec. 17 tournament. As soon as we get the details I'll confirm.

Man, I probably won' make it past the first round in my first tournament, but you gotta start somewhere I guess. If anyone wants to meet me at that thing, I'll be the IC guy sweating bullets and shaking uncontrollably.

I'm not giving excuses for losing but the plasma screens were too close to us (2 1/2 FT).
I got out there with a head ache but anyways it was pretty cool. (I would have done better in 1 0n 1 though).

I need to know the basic details such as time and if in fact it will be at the Centro Comunal. Also, how the hell do I get there? I'll confirm if me and my friends go after I know all that. If the time is right it is very likely that I'll go.

Hey guys, just posting to check who are the ones that will go to the tournament on the 17. Remember to bring penty of anger and your controler...... but mostly anger. Also remember not to touch yourselves before the tournament as that screws up your knees and right hand (or left hand in some cases).

That's top tier advice right there.

Whoa Never really post here.

Vain here, Vocal of the Gamers Guild ready to inform you with the What's up of the tournament.
Centro Comunal is Near the "Urbanizacion" near the Walgreens near Mayaguez Mall.
Quote
"Cuando llegues a Mayaguez que veas el Walgreens que se encuentra alfrente del Mayaguez Mall te metes por ese solo a la izq luego la primera entrada a la derecha que entras a la urb. y luego la 7ma calle a la izq al final esta el centro."

I believe that is if you're coming from Cabo Rojo or Sar German or something.
Anywho. 2 dollar entrance fee and 5 dollar to participate in Either Smash, Street Fighter: Third Strike or SOul Calibur 3 tournaments.
Hopefully we will impose the MLG ruleset and we shall follow it, I will be bringing some copies for the judges there and etc.
Well, that should be all, sorry this info came in a bit late.
Hope this post doesn't come out wrong or offensive to anyone as I am new here :D
Tourney Start time should be at 12 pm :p

The Gamers Guild is not the one in charge of this event, we are simply participating in it so I'm not sure of when it's going to end since two other tournaments ( Soul Calibur 3 and Street Fighter:Third Strike) will be played there was well so I'm not sure if all 3 tournaments will be played simultanously.
I believe it will be a singles tournament :)
So I guess just add 3 to 4 hours from the start to finish?
3 to 4 pm ends?
IMPORTANT, We need to know who is bringing gamecubes and tvs
Because if there aren't any we'll have to wait for the other tournaments to finish so we can use theirs and that's no good (Sonic quote).

Well I'll bring 4 cubes with copies of smash and memory card. Maybe 5. In case your wondering if I own 5 cubes I don't. It's just that I'm coming with 4 or 5 people. Plus other people that are coming without me.

Amongst haters
I’ll go if someone can give me a ride. I don’t have money to pay for gas or anything though so I probably can’t come anyway. The ruleset would probably suck like all the other third-party tournament....attempts. I actually just wanted to go spectate and maybe actually take part in the 3S tournament. Not sure what to do at this point.
