I hold it down for shine, then slide it a little right to wavedash. It may be a little uncomfortable at first getting used to not returning to neutral but you will get the hang of it.

Usually I find down thrown and back throw most useful at lower percentages. Why? If I get a back throw at 0% all characters will either have to tech or just hit the ground without teching, giving me a chance to tech chase (which people tend do always tech away or in place during bthrow) then...

Like others said above you are going to have to take a risk. Personally what I find effective is firebird stalling until they are close enough to either side b again, or go for the risky f-air prediction. At this point you can decide to hold ledge and read the marth trying to overpredict you...

I usually jump into down air with Falco. Shine>jump>back air is also a good option with Falco depending on percentages. With Fox just aim yourself towards them>down b> jump straight out and if you accidentally used your 2nd jump you should be able to make it back with Up B. Practice makes...

I've been playing for a few months and online play can be boring. I'm looking more for tournaments but they are basically nonexistent. Anyone still play this game have any advice on practicing with other people?
