Was stuck doing stuff with gf all weekend couldn't watch EVO this year anything notable that I missed?

Couldn't watch EVO what'd I miss?

Besides Armada winning, Plup managed to knock out Leffen into 5th, HBox did the same to mang0, ChuDat made top 8.
A lot of other old players like Ken (13th place) an HugS (9th place) also managed to get far.
oh and ZeRo won Smash 4 without losing a set but that's not a big surprise lmao.

You missed Melee Hell | Chudat wobbling his way into top 8. Here's a video. Watching him play this whole tournament had me on the edge of my seat. It was mesmerizing how well he played, considering most people considered him not a threat to many people at EVO.
