Prologue
I was bored in the depths of shoddy, winning match after match on the uber ladder. After making it to the top five, I began thinking of a way to have fun, while possibly having the chance to win. It may have taken three days to make, but the results were worthwhile. I eagerly create a new account on the official server, looking for my first victim. Along comes pokefan43, whom I believe I've seen posting videos on youtube.

Rules: Ladder Match, Sleep Clause, Freeze Clause, OHKO Clause, Evasion Clause, Species Clause, Strict Damage Clause
vs

Articanus sent out Deoxys-e.
pokefan43 sent out Kyogre.
Deoxys-e is exerting its pressure!
Kyogre's Drizzle caused a storm!
Rain began to fall!

My beautiful speed demon. He likes to play mindgames whenever I use him, pretending to be the useless normal version. I see I'm matched up against Kyogre: a particular common match-up in ubers. I also outspeed him, since the pressure message came before the rain: nothing unusual here. Since I don't have to worry about Stealth Rock coming from it, I can simply set up my own.

Deoxys-e used Stealth Rock.
Pointed stones float in the air around your foe's team!
Kyogre used Water Spout.
Deoxys-e lost 100% of its health.
Deoxys-e hung on using its Focus Sash!
The rain continues to fall.

So far so standard. I'm sitting with 1 HP and Stealth Rock out. I'm pretty sure the dang things Scarfed, which could make a big difference late-game, so off it goes.

Deoxys-e used Knock Off.
Kyogre lost 6% of its health.
Deoxys-e knocked off foe Kyogre's Choice Scarf!
Kyogre used Water Spout.
Deoxys-e lost 0% of its health.
Articanus's Deoxys-e fainted.
The rain continues to fall.
5-6 pokefan43

How fortunate. I get Stealth Rock set out, AND probably negated his only revenge killer. No matter what the score says, I know that I'm in the lead. To continue with my stategy, all I need is a single layer of Toxic Spikes.

Articanus switched in Forretress.

And here they come.

Kyogre used Water Spout.
A critical hit!
Forretress lost 100% of its health.
Forretress hung on using its Focus Sash!
Forretress used Toxic Spikes.
Spikes were scattered everywhere!
Toxic Spikes were scattered around the foe's team!
The rain continues to fall.

Yes, I need it so badly to the point that I put a Sash on one of the most pysically durable pokemon in the game. Now that his job is done, he can die peacefully too.

Kyogre used Water Spout.
Forretress lost 0% of its health.
Articanus's Forretress fainted.
The rain continues to fall.
4-6 pokefan43

With the information I know, it probably has all attacking moves and is lacking Sleep Talk. The perfect chance to bring in my favorite pokemon:

Articanus switched in Smeargle (lvl 1 Smeargle).

No, I'm not crazy. The lack of spikes in the uber metagame makes Smeargle REALLY viable, and I have won whole games all because of him. I'm going to start simply by setting up a Trick Room first.

Kyogre used Water Spout.
Smeargle lost 100% of its health.
Smeargle hung on using its Focus Sash!
Smeargle used Trick Room.
Smeargle twisted the dimensions!
The rain continues to fall.

Now Spore it to sleep, making it all the more useless.

Smeargle used Spore.
Kyogre fell asleep!
Kyogre is fast asleep!
The rain continues to fall.

Now I'm just going to Endeavor: if it stays in, it's guaranteed to die, but so is anything that's going to switch-in.

Smeargle used Endeavor.
Kyogre lost 94% of its health.
Kyogre is fast asleep!
The rain continues to fall.
Terrierking has entered the room.

Don't really know who Terrierking is, but I hope he enjoys the match =D
Since he's at 6%, he dies if he stays in due to dragon Rage, and dies to Stealth Rock later if he switches out: lets see what happens!

-->

pokefan43 switched in Scizor.
Pointed stones dug into Scizor.
Scizor lost 12% of its health.
Smeargle used Dragon Rage.
Scizor lost 14% of its health.
The rain continues to fall.

Now here's a costly mistake for the match: I should have seen a Quick Attack a mile away and gone to my Rapid Spin stopper to take the free switch-in: alas, I was too quick in my thinkings to even consider it.

Scizor used Quick Attack.
Smeargle lost 8% of its health.
Articanus's Smeargle fainted.
The twisted dimensions returned to normal!
The rain continues to fall.
3-6 pokefan43

Well now I'm in a predicament: I have no Trick Room and my opponent's got all six of his pokemon (5 if you count the Kyogre as dead). I see no Life Orb recoil or Leftovers healing coming from the opposing Scizor, leading me to believe it's Choice Banded. I use this information to quickly calculate a plan, so I bring in:

Terrierking: hey pokefan are u the guy in youtube?

Articanus switched in Shuppet (lvl 1 Shuppet).
pokefan43: No. I don't even know how to post videos.

THE MOST OVERUSED POKEMON EVER!
=D
So I was wrong about the guy having a youtube account: sue me. Hopefully Shuppet can get me out of this predicament that I am in.

--> CENSORED!!!
pokefan43 switched in Blissey.
Pointed stones dug into Blissey.
Blissey lost 12% of its health.
Blissey was poisoned!
Blissey was poisoned by the Toxic Spikes!
Shuppet used Trick Room.
Shuppet twisted the dimensions!
The rain continues to fall.
Blissey's leftovers restored its health a little!
Blissey restored 6% of its health.
Blissey is hurt by poison!
Blissey lost 12% of its health.

Either he didn't notice I was level 1 or he was Choice Banded. Either way, I have something that clearly has STD's in front of me! I don't want to see it set up or try to stall me out: I need it to kill me ASAP!

Terrierking: oh ok
Terrierking has left the room.[How rude!]
Shuppet used Taunt.
Blissey fell for the taunt!
Blissey used Calm Mind.
Blissey can't use Calm Mind after the taunt!
The rain continues to fall.
Blissey's leftovers restored its health a little!
Blissey restored 6% of its health.
Blissey is hurt by poison!
Blissey lost 12% of its health.

Seems like it was the right choice: obviously a Thunder or Ice Beam is heading my way, so I intend to let Shuppet die.

Shuppet used Curse.
Shuppet lost 45% of its health.
Shuppet cut its health and laid a curse on Blissey!
Blissey used Ice Beam.
Shuppet lost 55% of its health.
Articanus's Shuppet fainted.
The rain continues to fall.
Blissey's leftovers restored its health a little!
Blissey restored 6% of its health.
Blissey is hurt by poison!
Blissey lost 12% of its health.
Blissey is afflicted by the curse!
Blissey lost 25% of its health.
2-6 pokefan43

Alright, the \/\/hore can't recover and it's close to dead from residual damage, so I think it only fair as to put it out of it's misery.

CENSORED
Articanus switched in Kangaskhan (lvl 1 Kangaskhan).

Yes I'm ********. I made Kangaskhan fight even during a breast-feeding.

Kangaskhan used Endeavor.
Blissey lost 42% of its health.
Blissey used Thunder.
Kangaskhan lost 100% of its health.
Kangaskhan hung on using its Focus Sash!
Kangaskhan is paralysed! It may be unable to move!
Blissey's taunt wore off!
The rain continues to fall.
Blissey's leftovers restored its health a little!
Blissey restored 6% of its health.
Blissey is hurt by poison!
Blissey lost 8% of its health.
pokefan43's Blissey fainted.
Blissey is afflicted by the curse!
2-5 pokefan43

Haha Blissey was afflicted by the curse after fainting!
The Thunder paralysis is pissing me off, as it could easily cost me a kill...

pokefan43 switched in Scizor.
Pointed stones dug into Scizor.
Scizor lost 12% of its health.

... or not :/
Goodbye Kangaskhan! Congrats for the team's first-ever kill!

Scizor used Quick Attack.
A critical hit!
Kangaskhan lost 8% of its health.
Articanus's Kangaskhan fainted.
The twisted dimensions returned to normal!
The rain continues to fall.
1-5 pokefan43

Trick Room couldn't have worn off at a better time! Now to reveal my final pokemon:

Articanus switched in Rayquaza.

On my regular ubers team, I recently changed Rayquaza to a Life Orbed SDer after seeing my friend(Drugged Fox) almost beaten by one. I gave mine Dragon Claw, Earthquake, and Extremespeed to make up for the lost speed: for this particular team, it probably comes to no surprise that I gave this one a Focus Sash, no?

-->

pokefan43 switched in Weavile.
Weavile is exerting its pressure!
Pointed stones dug into Weavile.
Weavile lost 25% of its health.
Weavile was poisoned!
Weavile was poisoned by the Toxic Spikes!
Rayquaza used Swords Dance.
Rayquaza's attack was sharply raised.
The rain continues to fall.
Weavile is hurt by poison!
Weavile lost 12% of its health.

An odd switch, but OK. Sure to see Ice Shard/ Punch in my face, I Extremespeed for a quick KO: Guaranteed thanks to the spikes damage!

Rayquaza used Extremespeed.
Weavile lost 63% of its health.
pokefan43's Weavile fainted.
The rain continues to fall.
1-4 pokefan43

No Ice Shard? This makes it even easier! Now I can pull off an easy SD on anyone! I may actually win this!

pokefan43 switched in Deoxys-l.
Deoxys-l is exerting its pressure!
Pointed stones dug into Deoxys-l.
Deoxys-l lost 12% of its health.
Deoxys-l was poisoned!
Deoxys-l was poisoned by the Toxic Spikes!

That's a big message just for coming in O.o
I guess my Deoxys isn't the only one with mindgames!
At this point, my only chance for a KO is to SD again: the Focus Sash will keep me safe from the Ice...

Rayquaza used Swords Dance.
Rayquaza's attack was sharply raised.
Deoxys-l used Toxic.
Rayquaza was badly poisoned!
The rain continues to fall.
Rayquaza is hurt by poison!
Rayquaza lost 6% of its health.
Deoxys-l's leftovers restored its health a little!
Deoxys-l restored 6% of its health.
Deoxys-l is hurt by poison!
Deoxys-l lost 12% of its health.

...Beam? This could be quite troublesome. I literally halt the progress of the match for a minute and work out what needed to be done: it would be close, but I can do it!

Rayquaza used Swords Dance.
Rayquaza's attack was sharply raised.
Deoxys-l used Recover.
Deoxys-l restored 19% of its health.
The rain continues to fall.
Rayquaza is hurt by poison!
Rayquaza lost 12% of its health.
Deoxys-l is hurt by poison!
Deoxys-l lost 12% of its health.

At this point it's just an easy sweep.

Rayquaza used Dragon Claw.
Deoxys-l lost 88% of its health.
pokefan43's Deoxys-l fainted.
The rain continues to fall.
Rayquaza is hurt by poison!
Rayquaza lost 19% of its health.
1-3 pokefan43

Good thing Toxic damage doesn't just double every turn, else I would have REALLY been screwed!

pokefan43 switched in Scizor.
Pointed stones dug into Scizor.
Scizor lost 12% of its health.

Quick Attack would ruin me: good thing I have +6 Attack.

Rayquaza used Extremespeed.
It's not very effective...
Scizor lost 49% of its health.
pokefan43's Scizor fainted.
The rain continues to fall.
Rayquaza is hurt by poison!
Rayquaza lost 25% of its health.
1-2 pokefan43

HOLY CRAP I'M GOING TO DIE IN ONE TURN WITH 2 THINGS TO KILL! WTF DO I DOOOOOOOO!!!!

CENSORED
pokefan43 switched in Kyogre.
Kyogre's Drizzle caused a storm!
Pointed stones dug into Kyogre.
Kyogre lost 0% of its health.
pokefan43's Kyogre fainted.
1-1 Articanus

....psyche ;P
Dang 4kids.....they censor everything good.... even if something dies just because of pointy floating rocks.....

pokefan43 switched in Palkia.
Palkia is exerting its pressure!
Pointed stones dug into Palkia.
Palkia lost 12% of its health.
Palkia was poisoned!
Palkia was poisoned by the Toxic Spikes!

Oh geez! They censor pointy rocks, but not giant dildos with arms!?!

Rayquaza used Extremespeed.
Palkia lost 88% of its health.
pokefan43's Palkia fainted.
Articanus wins!
Articanus: ;P
pokefan43 has left the room.
Articanus: gg
tenchi17: TEM ALGUM BRASILEIRO?

??? where did that come from?

ah well, good match pokefan43!

Good stuff. Very creative thinking in your team choice, I've always thought your pokes were wackjobs just wanting to work that never would, but it seems they did what they needed to. An enjoyable read =)

lol @ focus sash on everthing on your team. I want to say GG but if Blissey had been carrying SR ,as she often does in ubers, you would have been dead. Beating a newbie kind of ruins the wow factor you otherwise could have had.

I'll admit I laughed a bit though.

By the time Blissey came out, I had a Trick Room out and had Taunted it. So whether it had Stealth Rock or not is irrevelant.

I've gone toe-to-toe with Train Man before, if it's any consolation: the only thing that made me lose was a 1 turn sleep on his Lugia! =/

No johns, however.

The way the team is built, you can *see* what's going to happen: but without specific pokemon and movesets, there's almost no way to stop it.

I'm glad everyone has liked the warstory so far! I hope to make more here, and I invite everyone to do the same.

Nice Warstory...I still think this team is gimmicky, but you know what you're dong and how to use the team, so props.

You won as soon as your foe's Deoxys failed to damage you. This was partly your opponent's fault for letting you get so many swords dances. An enjoyable read, nonetheless. I laughed at all of your Lv 1's.

I'm battling with the team right now. I'll post up a match if it's any good. Thanks for the comments, and yes I realize this is a bit gimmicky

Um, yeah...Back on topic!

Great warstory. Level 1s in uber tiers! And winning! :psycho: That, good sir, is simply awesome. Post more battles with this team, I love wacky strategies.

I have to say that I absolutely love warstories, I like reading them even more than having battles. It gives a good look inside the head of other players about why they make certain decisions etc. And I know you love them too, 'cause you got a lot of those stories on Smogon.

to be honest, I only have 3. My first one wasn't that good, my second got archived, and my third one, which I consider my best, is being overshadowed by the constant tier topics.

Wait, you're right. I could swear there were more? Or maybe I just saw your name popping up as an opponent in other people their warstories.
