Well, I just realized that I don't really get much critique around here, nor have I even asked for any. So I was wondering if my fellow Luigi mains could help me out a bit , watch some vids and give me a few tips on things to improve ^_^

Sorry, these are the only vids I have. Note that the first three matches were tournament matches, and the Luigi dittos were wifi matches.

wow that marth has no idea how to use his range as an advantage over luigi... FAIR ANYONE!?!?!
you played amazingly well zhao, i think sometimes your dair+nair got alittle predicatable but i think its just bound to happen a few times in any game... very good!

Yeah, it was my first tournament final, so I got a bit nervous. I do need to cut that down though, thanks ^_^

Dang... Well, at least I never had my *** handed to me or anything. I think once... Besides that Marth vs. TL game. o_O But anyways, really good games. Most were very close. We had like, 0 lag, and I owned you on Delfino twice, lol.

You're a beast, bro.

Yeah, more of the dittos were close. I would either have high percent 2 stock, or mid percent one stock, but Luigi can KO at mid percent.

GGs, you need to work on your defense a lot. Your combos and offensive game are top notch, but when it comes to mixing up the rolls and combo breakers, you get predictable.

Whenever I'm doing bad, I switch to my defensive mode, which is basically B-Air walls and fireball spam. I do good on that but, I need to work on my air dodges and rolls, because I do get predictable.

Try not to n-air or d-air so much out of combos. If anything, just airdodge and DI away from the opponent. Beats having to take that extra damage :D

Oi first match against a D3 and you didn't strike out FD? Or were you guys just randoming neutrals first match. It's third video in the post...but it says match one on the YT title.


Other than that...ish was good luigi.

You played well, for an average Luigi. Too predictable, and your oppenents didn't look so hot <_<

By no means is are you bad, but, I've seen better. Keep up the good work, happy brawlings.

If you would like a tip, use FSmash tilted up more, it kills most of the cast regardless of DI at 90%, generally any situation where you supa paunched, the safer option was to FSmash. Still, you are pretty good at landing the supa paunch, so whatever works for you.

Alias, it was the first match was a random neutral, and I just decided to give a shot. Infinites are banned anyways, so I dunno. It was my second tournament, and I left my first tournament early, so give me a break XD

And thanks Ray, I'm starting to implement that into my game. :D

How did I miss this topic? Anyway good stuff dude. You were ****** with the Uair a lot. Its probably my favorite Luigi move right now ^_^ It looked to me (and correct me if I'm wrong) that you don't have too much strict offline competition. Don't get me wrong, good matches, but you should find someone closer to your own level :) Thats a good thing FYI.

hmm just wondering.. how can you tell if someone's closer to your level? does it always have to be end of the match last stock, both near same %s or something? or just constantly ****** each other back and forth? or both? o.0
