Zero Suit Samus Selectable Without Final Smash

Highly doubt it. Not all the controllers have the R button so if this is true users off the Wiimote or Nunchaku combo are disadvantaged in the process.

R is shield, and so should correspond to B on the wiimote. If this is true I could forgive this roster...

Has it ever crossed your mind that the R button simply translates to the shield button? ALL controllers have a shield button. No controller is disadvantaged.

R on GCN controller/Classic (probably)

Easier just to say that part in the thread so people who don't read the proof still get it.

That makes much more sense. Just saying R button indicates that the technique is controller specific, but saying shield button clears things up a bit. I cant help it if I doubt things thanks to all the misinformation out there.

and i think my favorite part about this ability is the fact that in a tournament setting, youll be stick with her if you pick her. sure, its nice to be able to change...but its also nice to not.

Before ZSS's was confirmed to be playable from the star via the r button, I might not have considered them. But now that we know that all of the characters who are tied to one another CAN be selectable from the start, one way or another, I am quite willing to acknowladge a 39 character roster!

And don't start complaining that most of those don't have down b moves... they DO!!! They just happen to use it to turn into ANOTHER CHARACTER. And the fact that they share the same final smash? Well, we shouldn't be duping these tied together characters for THAT now should we (eyes falco, fox, and maybe wolf).

And consider ZSS! She is really truley a full character, with a down b that doesn't change her, and a final smash of her own. She just happens to change character when she does that.... and I know alot of you (not me) are gonna go super purist, and not use smashballs at all. So what's the big deal?

What were our predictions/hopes for the roster count back before the leaks? Around 40 characters... well guess what? This is AROUND 40 characters, not even SLIGHTY around... if I were Sakurai, I woulda just said "eh, what the hell" (or the japanese equivalent thereof), and thrown in Mewtwo for good measure. Reason I think he took him out, actually, is so that Pokemon would not have more reps than any series... currently the only other one with 4 is Mario... which has tons more spinoff characters anyway (Wario, Yoshi, DK, Diddy). Hehe.. and with Pokemon Trainer and Shiek, it really DOES has more characters, which leads me back to my original point....

Kirby has hats for all of these characters, so I think you should have a heart for all of them. We have a 39 roster game here, people. BE HAPPY!!!

Nice, this is very good news. I saw a vid of someone playing against team ZSS, so I was thinking there had to be some wy.

39 character roster eh. I,ve been content with the roster since the original e3 trailer. I really couldn't ask for more.

Finally, confirmation that Zero Suit Samus is playable. I wondered why they hyped her for 2 years if she wasn't playable. Guess she's playable after all. It was my biggest gripe for 2 years.

PT = 1 character, and that's it.

I'm glad to see there is the option to choose ZSS with no FS. if not, that would be a fcking sht

You are both right and wrong.

While its true that the character IS Pokemon Trainer who uses 3 pokemon, the 3 pokemon ARE DIFFERENT CHARACTERS with each their OWN MOVESET...


In other words....

3 Characters.

I'm sorry but that would take away part of what makes Smash Bros what it is. Not to mention the Dojo clearly had it available for all to see that real men use items.

this confirmation totally makes up for Wolf in my book (why hes in over Krystal we'll never know). Personaly I still think I'm going to stick with regular ole' Samus :)
