First of all I'd just like to say this a compendium, not a guide. Second of all, I do not own the game yet, I will own it on the American launch date but I have played it at E for All, and I never got to play Zamus there. Now that thats out of the way let me just say that this compendium is not finished, I need your help for various things like percents, moves and knockback. Also since this thread will contain almost everything on Zero Suit I give a SPOILER WARNING to anyone reading this thread.

Tested by seeing which move could kill Mario from the middle of FD.
  1. Side B: 111%
  2. Down B: 112%
  3. Back Air: 115%

Moves:
First and foremost hold R in the character selection screen when selecting Samus until the stage selection screen pops up in order to start out as Zero Suit Samus. You do not need to hold it when a stage is loading. When you start the match as Zamus your suit pieces will be scattered across the floor next to you and you can throw them, I've seen some parts do as much as 10 to 13% with decent knockback, I'm not sure if different parts give different knockback.

Neutral B:paralyzer
The Dojo said:
A personal protection device, the paralyzer stuns opponents. If you can charge it up for a bit, you can land additional attacks while your opponent is stunned.

Move Description: Think of the blaster item and this is how this move fires. Charge it up for additional stun time.

Side B:plasma Whip
The Dojo said:
The flash at the tip of this short whip is quite powerful!

Move Description: Zamus whip shoots at the opponent I've seen it do about 13-19%, and have high knockback. Besides that I don't know much about the move.

Alternate Use Tether Recovery:

Move Description: The whip fires up at the edge and hangs can be used to hang on like Samus' grapple.

Up B:plasma Wire
The Dojo said:
Shoot it straight up to pull enemies toward you! These two moves can be used to grab and hang from an edge.[Read: Side B and Up-B] They can reach even if the ledge is pretty far away, so pay close attention to distance and timing and aim to dangle from the edge.

Move Description: Much like the Side B the Up B whip can be fired at an opponent with the tip being the strongest part. It can also be used as a Tether Recovery, see above for details.

Down B:Flip Jump Corrected by gamer8
gamer8 said:
The down B was wrong, the jump flip means she flips and if she's by an enemy when she does it she kicks them, good power in it, and when used in mid-air it's like captain falcon's falcon kick in mid-air.
???
Move Description: Zamus stands on her hands and does a kick both in front and back of her.

Final Smash:power Suit Samus
Move Description: Zamus twirls around with her whip and if your close to her it's an automatic KO as shown here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2HU_AJbx10Q

However if you are far away and use this Zamus just gets surrounded by an aura of energy which hits the opponent for 25% with little or no knockback.

*Note after preforming this move you will transform back into Samus.

Down Smash
The Dojo said:
A down smash will fire it at your feet! But this is only self-defense at best. It does not have the power of an explosive attack. Where and when you use this is key.

Move Description: Much like Snake's and Mewtwo's downsmash a shot is fired right in front of her at her feet to damage the opponent.

Back Air
Damage: About 12-14%, Yes it's that strong, I believe only if you hit her heel though.
Knockback: High

Move Description: Zamus does a kick at the opponent that sends them back.

Other moves to go into detail, thanks to Baka^ni for the info:

A moves:
A- A jab
A, A, A - A series of punches
Dash Attack- A sliding kick (Similar to falco's.)
Forward/Up tilt-Similar to Sheiks
Down tilt- crouching Trip kick similar to Sheik's
Up Air- Kick flip
Down Air- She goes flying towards the ground with her foot. (Looks spike worthy)
Forward Air-Two kicks forward.

The rest of her moves are to be finished later.

I don't know what move that Falcon Kick-type aerial is, but it's not her B-down. Watch this gameplay video and you'll see she can still do a flip jump in mid-air:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAIofUYGj7Y

Which makes me glad. I was worried her only extra recovery move would be a tether recovery...

However, she can still do that Falcon Kick move as well, as seen here (when she's beating on the sandbag):

I don't think this is a type of a attack. It just looks like a secondary recovery move. In this video around 4:32: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAIofUYGj7Y , she tethers to the edge then does the Space jump to get height to get back on the stage.

What about her nair?
I have seen it done yet. I think its when she spins the plasma whip around her in the air. This is unconfirmed because everyone in the videos looks like they are holding a directional button while attacking.

The Falcon kick type move is her Down air, not her down B.

Anyways, a thought came to mind. Does anyone know if she has a Paralyzer cancel. I haven't seen the Paralyzer used enough in the videos to confirm it and a lot of the laser cancels have been removed, but could it be possible to tazer someone then do a smash attack once you land while your opponent is still in paralysis? I'm not talking falcon's lasering from melee, but a possible setup for a smash.

Here is a video of Zamus in training mode:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRJNJSemUWI

It starts out as Samus, but then uses FS halfway through.

Smash attack?: Damage: 10%+ (non-charged) Knock back: low?
Forward + A = She whips her opponents with the plasma whip in a slashing motion.

I saw it in this Subspace Emissary video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqHmV9HwlGo

Its right at the beginning and I have seen it several times throughout the videos. Can someone confirm this for me. I want a second opinion on it.

You can also see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0N4K4wqZH6A

Its the first attack she does on the sand bag.

N air? : Slashes with the whip in front of her. Look at about 0:36 in the same SubSpace video above.

I found the attack that is in this picture in battle, but I don't know what buttons it is. My guess would be up smash, since its the only button combination left.

Have we still not established whether she has a ranged or close proximity grab? Jeez.

I think I may have seen a video where she grabbed someone with her plasma whip.
But I may be mistaken.

This really does need some clearing up.

Thats the correct N-air.

Grab is in fact the whip. Very short range though. I kept messing up .

Down B is some sorta jump. Never saw it do much, but since her Up B is a straight tether, it can help a bit with recovery when theres no edge nearby. (Tether DOES NOT GRAB WALLS, only ledges.)

Up B can be used as much as you want like all tethers. Its got very good range, and can grab when you are facing the wrong way I believe.

That spinny kick on the ground is a up tilt. Down throw to up tilt to up air = win. :p.

Forward air is a double kick.

Down Smash is really really good, that and the shot from the stunner actually does stun your opponent for a period of time (the down smash is almost a full second). But the neutral B has poor range.

I dont remember everything on this char, but if yall have more questions I can answer to the best of my ability.

I need some clarification on recovering with specials... Two things about tether recovery:

1. Can she do it only with her B^, or does it work with with both B^ and B>? If it works with both, is there a difference between the B^ and B> versions?
2. Can she tether the ledge if she's facing the other way? I really hope so, because that'll make flip jump --> tether a viable recovering sequence.

I didnt actually try the B side off the edge like that, but I would have to say only B Up will tether and it does seem she can tether either direction due to the fact that her up B sends the paralyzer straight up.

In brawl everybody has the falcon style recovery, even when facing the wrong way, if an up B sends you within range of the sweetspot you can turn around last second, so most characters can hit the sweetspot really really easily. You pretty much magnet straight to it.

Hmm. Ill have to check that out the next time I am around brawl.

I definitely didnt try everything. I wasnt playing on my wii, so the guy that owned it wasnt going to let me just try things out for an hour. Everything I have on the character is from actual matches (be them ffa or 1v1, items or no items, any of em) and I spent more time with traditional Samus than Zero Suit.

Edit: Over B does in fact tether to the edge, but it looked exactly the same as up B. It just shot out a generic looking tether to the ledge either way.

Her down B is something like a mid air roll dodge, where she faces the opposite direction.
Also, you have to press A (or B ?) to enable the kick in the flip jump, else she only flips.
Flip jump can also be used to do wall jumping, as it must be used in SSE.

Is this thread going to have a match archive? I'd love to have a place to be able to see actual matches with ZSS. If not someone should make a thread for that.

Well, since her ^B and >B both latch on to the edge, and her grab is a tether grab, is it safe to say that pressing Z will also get you to grab onto the ledge?

Are there any known spikes?
I dont...think so....but I wonder what her d-air would do it a midair foe (though, it may be completely unusable as a spike either way due to your own trajectory)

Another thing that will make her very awesome off the edge is that when you are latched to the edge (just as long as your up b, over b, or whatever has connected) that ledge is hogged. Nobody else can grab the ledge if you are tethered to it. With the additional use of a hog from above with over B, Zero Suit Samus may have a pretty nice off the edge game.

Also, there is another nice touch (and this I am paraphrasing from someone on the Samus boards, so I cannot verify it myself right now) and that is that up Bs and such will still warp your opponent to the ledge even if you are already tethered to it, which will result in them falling to their death. If that is true, its a pretty interesting (albeit completely ridiculous) means of edgeguarding many characters.

Her Flip Kick can meteor at the least. Not sure if it's a spike, but I haven't had anyone Meteor Cancel it yet.
Pressing Z (GCN) in the air makes any character except Link, and Samus Air Dodge, I believe. It makes ZSS Air Dodge for sure.

Her Flip Jump (Down+B) actually automatically wall-jumps if it hits a wall - there's no way to prevent her from wall jumping during it if she touches a wall.

It is basically a third jump that also automatically turns her to face the other way. Its pretty neat to surprise attack an enemy by her flip jumping over them and kicking them in the back with the attack that can come out of it (tap A during the jump). Also useful as a normal recovery move when the edge is hogged, or in conjunction with the tether for extra recovery distance.

ZSS vids form nes and Pbody tourneys. There are other ZSS vids scatter around as well on the last link with all 800 vids of brawl/melee. But like the last 10 pages only half brawl since well it just came out. also some old school melee vids.

I was going to number one Metaknight for the longest but after seeing her, shes is number one.

This is probably the most competitive ZSS you see for now. They are good. I am sure most seen them but if not then you will enjoy. Also the TC is in some of them if I remember correctly.
