How is nobody listing Killer Instinct as their fighting game?

That game is so good and legitimately funny. Plus it has that C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER line.


The characters are unique and unforgettable, it's a fighting game mocking popular fighting games, but with combos and specials varying from easy to hard on each character. If I had an Xbone I'd definitely buy KI:3

Just had my breakfast and just found a side-tournament of TvC at EVO on YouTube.
I thought competitive TvC died out ages ago because of PTX-40A (Ivan) being Top Tier, with his strong combo game, super armour and that one grab infinite. And that UMvC3 is around.

I still remember some corner combos I would always do in that game. I was never that good at it, but it felt so nice doing those combos and even getting two assists in the same combo. (Yes SBphiloz4 , you could use the same assist twice in a single combo if you start the combo with the assist.)

Yeah, TVC just didn't get enough steam going, and despite being decently popular, the console choice was really the main reason why it died. Most fighting game enthusiasts have all the other consoles but the Wii, and wouldn't want to buy another console just for playing one game.

And PTX is not top tier, haha. If there's a reason why people quit the game, it's because Zero and Tekkaman Blade were too strong. Overall though, balance was great, a pity the game died.

It is a shame, but when I saw the tournament, it was mostly T-Blades that were there, so yeah. T-Blade was the reason for it, I didn't see a lot of Zero though, only one. And T-Blade was solely used against PTX-40A. I do remember that I heard that Phoenix Wright and Franziska von Karma were going to be in it too, along with a Ghouls N' Ghosts Stage too as DLC, but they were just ideas for the game. And that Wright got removed because they didn't know what kind of moveset to give him. :V

I did see a pretty good Gold Lightan during it too though, got PTX-40A into a good combo string, till PTX Mega Crashed out of it.

And let's not forget this glorious Frank West combo too~.

I tried my hardest to play Roll but goddamn all but like 3 of her moves had no range
I do love Megaman Walnut but that was after the game died so i never really got to try him out on an actual opponent

I really don't remember anything about the stages in that game. It's been so long since I last played, I still have the game so maybe I could go back to playing it just for some minor nostalgia.

The only thing I remember about TvsC outside of the characters I played was that Yami from Okami was the Final Boss and that for some reason the Japanese version had animated endings but not the English version

It's a shame too because some endings would be great to hear dubbed

Even though I'm known for around here, it seems like @Luwafer was also a huge fan of her too.

If he was still active, I'd probably consider him a rival for who likes more it wouldn't surprise if we'd make good friends just off that fact alone.

It's been over a year since he last made a post so he'll probably never come back, which kind of sucks since his avatar is fantastic.

I guess you could say I carry his torch of "being that guy who likes/loves ".

Favourite stage is probably Daigo's Temple, both day and night versions.

I noticed a trend on FG... If someone gets owned by my Zelda they tend to stay more often than if I were to use Rosanofun and Cancer or Captain EZmode. That means Zelda is so fabuu and OP to the point where her opponents are physically/virtually unable to leave for hours on end.

I asked a few people I know irl who the worst character in the game is.
They all said Zelda.

Yeah, she's bad. Worst? Nah.
They all said all of her attacks were extremely slow (lie) and she has trouble killing (somewhat true, but she has an easier time than Samus). She's bottom 3 imo, with either Samus, Mewtwo, or Palutena under her.

Or we can say she's the worst character so she gets more buffs to the point she'll have to be banned.

Just saw Episode 30 of Gintama 2015.

It was funny how Gin, Kagura and Shinpachi had to be Wolfro's voice, quite literally. Since he's a mute, but he's a pretty interesting character and like to see more of him in the future. Although I doubt that'll happen since we might get to see Gintoki go up against the main antagonist who has NOT APPEARED in over 200 Episodes. Jeez. :V
