Roy still speaks Japanese.

His voice actor from Melee came back and rerecorded all his voice clips.

That's another butchered voice. Mewtwo was the first, Roy is the second. They better not change Wolfs voice.

Cool, Roy sounds older and less annoying now. Sort of like an older, Japanese-speaking Antony del Rio Pit. Oh, and Ryu's Gohan apparently - same VA from UMvC3 too. Well, looks like Roy might be a potential secondary with Wolf - please, please, PLEASE! - as a co-main.

Ryu having a counter might be a nod to SFV's new mechanic. Hell, it could be a parry instead where Ryu just cancels your attack instead of canceling and countering. So, sort of like Little Mac's Compact Counter or Ike's Paralyzing Counter or an actual block like in SF games and DMC games.

Its always done that. It can instant KO, but the problem is that Roy has no armour during it, plus it requires you to be in the same spot for a while. :V

One thing is that I don't think anyone asked about leaks with Sakurai and other devs. I remember when Assassin's Creed Syndicate was leaked and Ubisoft, the company and not the devoloers, just issued something like, "We are disappointed that our team's work was leaked, but we are happy and proud people are interested." Kind of meh since I bet any developer not matter how hard *** would be disappointed it showed up not according to plan, but would be happy if people were really interested and sad of people felt their work was subpar since leaks tend to be, but not always, early builds.

Sakurai probably loves surprising people, so when leaks happen, he can't surprise people with whatever is leaked, but I bet he's happy fans can see their favorite character in action even if he can't surprise them. When he does get to surprise us like with Mega Man, Mewtwo - he said Etika's reaction was his favorite -, Duck Hunt, and more, I bet he's smiling. Me, I might end up crying seeing fans happy if I was a dev. All of that hard work to see people happy.
