If you DI horizontal knockback attacks up, you will be able to get back on a million times easier. People who have this problem usually are guilty of bad DI. If you're coming back and they're on the edge, you should be able to either:

a) use a move to get them off the edge/stage spike them and then recover
b) use your jump and down b to land on the stage
c)tether to the edge before they get there. (use side b for early tethers from a shallow angle.)

another gd thing to do is to play mind games. there are 2 ways that zss can recover.

1) jump first, then downB. this down b is useful for edgehoggers, however, the sex kick has pretty bad lag, so if you miss the opponenet, you will roberbly be out of range for the tether.

2) save your jump, down b first, this is more effective i find, as you can still punish edge hogers with a side b, or side air/up air if close enough, then up b to tether.

just make sure you judge the situation. but you should always be able to keep the opponent guessing as to ur recovery option.
remember than down b can go in either direction (extra mind games lol)

Like jalued said, it's generally best to Flip Jump first, then you can jump again when you get nearby. It's very useful for pressuring edgehoggers into getting up off your ledge, then using Plasma Whip.

You can also try jumping, then using Flip Jump and then pressing x/y before coming near your opponent if they try to chase you off the stage. This way you get a special footstool. It's kinda risky, though.

thx james but what exactly do you mean by DIing horizontally do you mean DIing left and right due to where you get knocked off the stage
He means when you get knocked back horizontally to DI up and that should put you in a better position to not get edgehogged so easily.
