Hey! I live in Grass Valley, and a few of my friends and I are wondering if there's going to be any (monthly, weekly, bi-weekly, etc...) tournaments next weekend (on Friday, Saturday only though) in Yuba City or Sacramento. My friend is moving to LA and we wanted to get one last tournament in before he goes. So if anyone has anything set up I'll tell my friends. :D

well, there won't any tourneys next week, but if you'd like.. we could maybe make some sort of arrangement to play some smash. I might possibly be able to throw one next weekend, but i'm not 100% since it's short notice.....
If not, we still could go there and play some smash, but it costs moolah.. 4 dollars per person, per hour.
But believe me, i'll give ya the update if i can work something out...
Now, i'm hella down to go to Champ Combo as well... but Raretruffle, see if there's a chance that you can use your roommates car., then we'll be in business.
If ya can't, i would have to wait until closer to the date, to see if i can use one of the cars to make it, and parents are hella selfish with the cars, so it'd be a slight chance that i could get it.

Ok, so for the three of us to fly roundtrip from sacramento...
$338.50 each (after including various taxes)
Which comes to a Grand Total of $1,015.50.
The flight would take about 3 and a half hours because we make a stop at an airport in las vegas. (lolol??)
But yeah... This is only one airline, and I haven't shopped around much.
Is driving looking more realistic?

Look for more prices. When is SCC exactly? Anyways about three-four weeks ago I looked for tickets to LAX from Sac, and they ran about 100$ a piece. When I actually bought them (this is 4-5 days before the flight) they cost me 250$. I may be flying from Sac as well, but I'm not going to deal with any stops along the way. lol

I only looked for tickets to the airport closest to the venue. LAX is about 90 minutes away, I think. I'm worried about not being able to get a ride from there.
But we'll see I guess.
SCC is September 29th and 30th.
QTP: Driving is a lot cheaper. It barely took 200 for me to get to san diego. I've been saving a big chunk of my checks, so gas money isn't really a problem. I could probably pay for most of it. Just try and get that car. lolol

hell yeah,... depending on how much money (total) we get for the trip, is basically the chance that i could get the car.haha.

I almost forgot I asked about a tournament this weekend, sigh...
Well, NVM about that. But my friend is going to leave to LA in about two or three weeks, and this week I'm going to be camping with my other friend. I guess I'll wait until the week of Brawl, because the LA guy is going to come back up to wait in line with my other friend and I for Brawl and then we're going to play it and stuff.
EDIT: Also, my friend had a local smash tournament, just for fun. I got second place because most the people there didn't own the game, don't practice, or something involving not knowing a lot about the game. The funny thing is, my friend got 1st, I got second, and my other friend got 3rd... seriously, are we the only SSBM talent around Grass Valley? That's sad because we're not super special awesome like many of the Sac people. When my friends and I went to the Yoshi Town Bi-weeklies in Modesto, we got pwnt (I partially blame the small tv with the glare on it for one of my losses though). We would go again, but driving to Modesto from here is expensive. <_<

It was fun pwning with Pikachu and Zelda yesterday. Seriously, we're pretty badass. We'll have a good time at champ combo for sure.
Anyways, if you want to sell your Ipod, try craigslist. I'm pretty certain you'll get some type of response there.

well, it's a 30gb ipod video. i have just the ipod (no headphones
