Hey everyone. Some of you probably already know this, but I just realized that YouTube now has an event module for us average users.
It must have been added within the past month or so, because it wasn't there the last time that I edited my channel.
Anyway, I encourage you all to add tournaments that you will be attending to your youtube pages. Some of you may see this as useless or too much effort, because we all go to smashboards anyway and view the tournament threads anyway. However, I think of it like this: It takes all but 30 seconds to add an event to the module, and who knows, a newcomer may just be browsing videos or comments, stumble upon a channel, click on the event and join smashboards, then have interest in the tournament. It could happen, and better to have it there for them to see than not, otherwise no possible new member. This is possible community growth here.
Go to your YouTube channel. Click on "Modules" at the top, then click on "Event Dates".
Fill in the information accordingly. I put the tournament name and venue name in the "venue" field, and I put both the City and State in the "City" field. Then you can post a link to the tournament thread in the "Tickets" field.
