I've nicknamed too many Pokemon to think about listing off nicknames, but I almost always do themes with my party nicknames. Generally all characters from a particular work of fiction, but in the run of LeafGreen I currently have going I did a bunch of my favorite female characters, and I've also done music themes, nicknaming all of my Pokemon after songs and whatnot.

Though honestly the nickname I think I'm still most fond of is the one I gave to the first Absol I found in Ruby version, which was "ABSOLutely."

No, I will never get sick of dumb Pokemon puns, particularly not that one.

My Greninja is Al Capone.
Fletchling is John Lennon.
Pikachu is Ringo (Ringo Segundo didn't fit in the space given).
Slowpoke is Turbo Lover.
Azumarine is Tina Turner.
Charizard is Commander.

I typically like to maintain a part of their original name when I nickname.

In my first game, Red, I named my Venusaur after the Venusaur in the first Pokémon movie. Unfortunately, I had no idea that his name was "Bruteroot" and I affectionately named mine "Brootroot." Other stars from that game were Pidgit (Pidgeot) and Raiadichu (Raichu, pronounced Rye-a-dee-choo).

I admit that I've given a lot of Pokemon weird nicknames and have sent them over Wonder Trade, mainly for giggles.

The names include:

Grimer: "CONKER BOSS"
Marill: "AHORA MISMO!"
Many Pokemon: "AAAAAAAAA"

The list goes on. I've also received a lot of Pokemon with weird names. Like a Fennekin nicknamed "75", a Beautifly named "É", and a Smeargle named "pbs"

All I can say is that the people who received my Pokemon must have been awfully confused, heh.
