You have to spend 20 points to decide what Smash 4 DLC will be.

Welcome to the "You have to spend 20 points" game, which consists of spending... well, 20 points to create a list of characters and other things like stages, musics or concepts you'd add as SSB4 DLC. You must fill your list with elements taken from a "shop" detailed bellow, and each element has its own price, generally ranged between 1 and 5. You also have to spend all your 20 points, no more, no less.

"B-but I don't have enough points to choose everything I want!"

That's exactly the point of this game you know: you have to spend your points wisely to choose what you want to see added. Maybe you don't have enough points to add a character you want, so choose something else unless you're willing to sacrifice something else from your list in order to have more points to spend.

A few additional things to note:
- if you want to add a character from a series which currently lacks a playable character in SSB4 (like Golden Sun, Splatoon, or Metal Gear) then you have the possibility to add to your list a stage from that series for free;
- for each stage on your list, even those you got for free under the clause above, you can add up to six musics of your choice for free which will play on that stage, but your music choices must be coherent with their respective stages;
- elements in italic can be purchased multiple times (for example, if you buy "characters from [insert name here] series" twice, you may add two different characters from that series to your list);
- if you have any idea to add to the shop, don't hesitate, I'll probably add it;
- FYI, prices for characters are mostly based on their want scores in Rate Their Chances DLC edition. Characters who already have an interactive non-playable role as Assist Trophy or enemy also tend to cost higher compared to character with overall similar popularity.

I feel like Ancheim's a pretty unique looking locale in Bravely Default and could make for a good giant outdoor stage akin to Hyrule Temple or Palutena's Temple. I'm not wild about the edges being walkoffs, so I'd probably opt to not have that, even if it might make things a bit less true to the game. I don't know if it would have any hazards, but I do think it'd be neat for the stage to have a day/night cycle. Another option could be to just have a smaller Ancheim stage set in Ancheim Palace.

My list would be the following:

• (2 Points) Ray Blasts In! Would have the other Ray models as his other costumes (technically comes with the character, so it's not adding to an existing character already). Also would come with a Holosseum stage with the following music tracks (I would add more, but there is a 6 track limit):
  • Combined Remix of The Ice of Passion Never Melts and Frozen Game (both are ice holosseum themes that can be remixed together).
  • Panic Cube. This track is too good (and addicting). Plus it appears in important story battles when you fight against Eliza and Isabella.
    
  • Heaven with bits of Lost World mixed in it. Both are great upbeat songs that could be meshed together a bit.
    
  • Arrangement/remix with bits from Custom Battle, Custom Battle 2, Basic Stage, and Battling in the Basics. All are great songs for being the 1st songs in their games (though Basic Stage has low quality and volume overall), but most are just 30 second loops. So, merging 4 of them would bring it to the 2 minute time.
  • Arrangement/remix with bits from Dark Lord, ...A Formidable Enemy, Goliath's Formidable Enemy, and MAYBE Inside the Fever and Stone.
  • Several of Arena's tracks arranged into 1, including Death Fight, Gimmicky Arena, and Virtual or Reality. All of them are pretty catchy songs from Arena.
  
  
• (1 Point) Since you technically don't have T-Rex Vivosaur as a character, I'm going to say Fossil Fighter Picks a Fight (because he has a pick-axe)! He would control the T-Rex Vivosaur from the background, ordering it to perform moves and the like. Costumes would reference the Super Revival colors as well as the Jurassic Park T-Rex (would have the roar and pose at the end of J1 as a taunt). Final Smash would be T-Rex Lord. Stage would be Rainbow Lake from Fossil Fighters Champions with the following music tracks:
  • King Dynal Battle. This song is too good to pass up. Imagine it with non-DS instruments (i.e. an actual choir).
    
  • Vs. Gunash. Same dealio about the instruments.
  • Vs. Zongazonga.
  • BB Brigade Battle.
  • Battle Etude. Maybe use realistic instruments.
  • From Beyond the Horizon (vs. Don Boneyard)

• (2 Points) Simon Belmont Gives a Whiplash! Costumes reference the other Belmonts. Stage would be Castlevania with the following tracks (wished I could add more than 6, but that's alright. It's part of the challenge. )
  • Wicked Child. Maybe have this become a slick Guitar Cover like this. Castlevania NES.
    
  • Julius Belmont's rendition of Heart of Fire/Don't Wait Until Night. Heart of Fire was in the 1st game, but they remixed it with the Don't Wait Until Night from Haunted Castle (the arcade game) in Aria of Sorrow.
  • Vampire Killer. This is a necessary theme. Castlevania NES.
    
  • Bloody Tears. Also necessary. Simon's Quest.
    
  • Tragic Prince. It is a Symphony of the Night song. You can kinda tell that guitars, organs, and pianos are my favorite instruments to listen to based on the songs that I chose already.
    
  • Abandoned Castle. This would fit on the stage so well (mainly because it's a theme for Dracula's Castle from Curse of Darkness).

• (5 Points) Custom Moves for all DLC fighters that existed and will ever exist. They deserve them too. Imagine if Ryu could use Gouken's Gohadoken (launches Gohadokens in angles depending on how long the button is held, but would be slower and less damage) & Akuma's Gohadoken/Zanku Hadoken (more power but less speed on ground, downward diagonal aim in the air with less speed overall) as custom moves. HCF input would have 2 Gohadokens (Gouken's EX move for Go) or the Multi-hitting rendition of Go/Zanku (I believe those are Akuma's EX moves for Go/Zanku) appear, respectively.

• (1 Point) Sylux Joins the Hunt! The Metroid series should totally have another fighter. I think Sylux would fit the bill well IMHO.

• (1 Point) Dark Matter Possesses Great Power! Dark Matter would be an interesting possession based character. Having him would be perfect IMHO.

• (3 Points) I guess Classic Ganon is considered Beast Ganon, so Beast Ganon Pigs Out! We don't have a trident user that has magic yet, so why not add him? Plus, he would give an accurate representation of Ganon that everyone wants (even though I love using Falcondorf).

• (5 Points) Adventure Mode. This would be very nice to have. Have it be like Subspace Emissary but use Smash Run enemies + a few others as well as stages themed from Nintendo Worlds (like Melee's Adventure Mode). Basically, make it a very fun experience overall and I'll be very happy! Also, 2 Player Co-op would be nice.

Quick question. Say if you supported a character that didn't appear on the list of characters. Would they fall under the 1 Point Category? If not, I got some suggestions to add to the 1 Pointer. You don't have to add them, but there are some supporters for these characters:

• Aeron (Pandora's Tower for the Wii [had a Wii U VC release in Japan])
• Starman (Pro Wrestling on the NES)
• Ephraim (Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones)
  
• Hector (Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword [the 1st NA one for the GBA])
  
• Warrior Mech Gauss (Chōsōjū Mecha MG for the DS)

After the initial 10 points were spent that took me a surprisingly long time. I was going to abandon the Adventure Mode and have 2-3 more characters.

It was a bit harder than I thought. I'd probably need more than 20 points to start moving outside of characters, although I think I pretty much covered my bases character wise with the above choices.
