I disagree. There isn't enough character-specific discussion to justify that. However, I definitely think we should have our own section like (and next to) the Brawl and Melee sections.

Blue Yoshi might be a good mod. Nixxxon seems like a good guy, but he posts a lot of inaccurate or faulty information (I don't think it's on purpose). I don't think Isai is on often enough, I'm not entirely sure why you chose him anyway.

Anyways, even if I don't become mod I won't be mad about it cause I trust the judgement of the active swf members that regularly post in the 64 boards to pick a good mod.

P.S. I've asked Isai before and he said he doesn't want to be mod because he doesn't log in much. Isai as mod would be like picking Surri-Sama again in the sense that they don't sign in much. (not their ability to be a good mod)

If sometimes Im wrong, i dont think it matters a lot in order to being a good mod. What does a mod do anyway? Closing useless threads, stopping flame wars and stuff like that... and of course being active. I think i would be a good mod, but meh.
Anyway, besides the mod thing, the most important thing this game deserves an OWN section... and no, character specific subforums arent needed.

Characters subforums are needed since character guides slowly go off the board topic as more people and noobs stream in to ask questions that can be answered in those guides. Since interest is going back into 64 from VC, I see no reason why these subforums aren't created.

A good mod is needed but every single 64 mod sucked major c0ck so i think no mod is better than ****ty mod

looking at nixxxon's and near's (skrlx) history, i have a million reasons for him not to be a mod but thats just me. I truly don't believe they have the proper judgment or mental capacity to make good decisions, something that wasn't present in our previous mods (except craiig maybe) such as the horrifying surri or the ******** meowkitty.

I will never get why dumb people (not just 64 boards) are granted moderator powers while people who don't suck will never become mods. I guess since there's a system where if you want to become a mod you automatically become blacklisted so the smashboards elites just shoot themselves in the foot and the common poster suffers for it.

While that may be true Zen, it shouldn't in this case. We have been ****ed over for years with horrible forum placement and bad mods. The only good mod that we've had that I can think of was craiigg.

Smash 64 definitely needs its own section, and I think a separate spot for character discussion would be handy, except not individually; have all 12 put into the same place, since I'd imagine only so much can be said about each character.

Get some guides up with match-up discussions, maybe some frame analysis and all that jazz, and Smash 64 could become much more popular.

Even if its only General Discussion, the 64 board should have its own section, its a very simple thing that the site owners can change in a blink of an eye. It's basically a matter of respect. ssb64 started it all, and 10 years later still has a great popularity I mean I dont think you can find many 10 years old games that have as much or more popularity than this one...

It's sad that SB64 is undermined by the latest sb's. This is the game that started it all and if anything should get royal treatment with crazy hardcore fabulous falcon glitter font lol.

But seriously, there are quite a bit of ppl who still play this game. Especially since the game got a re-release. For Melee players like me, the VC release is easy transitioning. I know the hardcore fans prefer n64 controllers over gc and retro and I have nothing against them. Who in the right mind plays using a retro controller? Give that dude a gold medal.

If this does get it's own forums I advise that there should be 2 subsection tourny forums. One for N64 and the other for VC.

character specific forums would be a waste of a click and it would go the way of the beautiful competitive events forum

a better solution is to just have character general discussion threads in the 64 forum, they can be linked to in a stickied thread on the top if they fall off the main board. this is kinda how the character boards that no one looks at in melee ended up working.

i dont really see the point of getting a 64 mod since it's such an inactive forum with like 15 people that post. the mod would get really bored and start finding stuff to do (enforcing random rules like 1 liner posts) and wasting everyone's time. plus he would probably do stuff like infract tigerbombz or get pissed off when everyone makes fun of near. and if we cant make fun of near whats the point in posting
