Mamoswine.

Quite the mammoth pokemon, no?
I need info on it.

Where does it stand on the tiers?
What would make a good moveset? from what I see, i have two options.

Choice Band or Defensive supporter.

like this.

Mamoswine @Choice Band
...Nature? Jolly?
uh... EVs? should it go 252/252?

-Ice Shard
-Earthquake
-Ice Fang
-Stone Edge/Rock Slide

Would eat up Dragons, that's for sure (then again, what dragon would be nuts enough to stay in against it?)

Mamoswine @Leftovers
Relaxed?
Evs...?

-Earthquake
-Ice Shard/Ice Fang
-Stealth Rock
-Roar/Substitute/Curse

Arg, had a hard time with this one, but i think that's where i want it to go.

I need suggestions! Bring the mammoth to life!

None of the others seem to be on right now...

So let's see...

Murders Dragons, Fliers, and Fire-types. HP deals with Water types

Mamoswine@Leftovers
Impish or Relaxed (Curseswine)
252 HP/127 DEF/127 SP.DEF

-Earthquake
-Ice Fang
-Stealth Rock
-Roar/Substitute/Curse
Unless you really need speedy hits, go with Ice Fang

Tankswine...Very nice.

Hope I helped.

This is really good as I call it an, "Anit-Dragon". It can kill any dragon with Ice Shard. You could also use Peck for Heracross and that only.

Mamoswine @ Choice Band
Jolly
EVs: 52 HP / 252 Atk / 200 Spd
-Ice Fang / Ice Shard
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Peck / Ice Fang

I know. You're probably thinking Peck = LOL WUT? It's just there for the sole purpose of eliminating Heracross. If you can otherwise handle it, use Ice Fang.

Mamoswine @ Leftovers
Adamant
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Sp. Def
-Curse
-Earthquake
-Avalanche
-Light Screen / Ice Shard / Protect / Stone Edge

CurseSwine. You'll go last most of the time, so Avalanche will be boosted. Ice Shard can make up for Curse's Speed reduction.

Mamoswine is currently BL.

Good way of putting it, Wii. But you should put Life Orb as an option because some people have really bad luck with Choice items. I use the first and it is a BEAST when it kills everything that Yanmega doesn't :chuckle:

Peck vs. Non-CS Hera = OWNED
I don't think CBing it is a good idea, though. Life Orb would work.

My Mamoswine has this moveset:

-Hail (Snow Cloak)
-Earthquake
-Avalanche
-Rock Slide

It's VERY effective.

and adamant can do about 352-414 Cscarfed. then it will die to peck from a relaxed

a jolly flameorbed/Cbanded close combat will do 479 and 563 damage against relaxed

A Choicescarf closecombat from an adamant against the peck variant of wii4mii will do
between 505 and 594 damage.

The Peck version isn't supposed to KO CSHera. Try CSdactyl for that. Besides, it's sole purpose isn't to KO Heracross. It's a Choice Bander. Switch in and attack. Switch out if up against an unfavorable matchup.

Oh yeah, Peck has 374 HP.

*sigh* This is why I don't use ur over your, etc. People, apparently, don't understand shorter versions of things.

The Choice Band Mamoswine (the one with Peck) has a max HP of 374.

Was that clear enough for you?

I'm currently awaiting for Chill's permission to do Weavile.

But, let's keep this to Mamoswine stuff.

thanks for the info guys.
Although all the stuff on heracross was...odd?

i think i'll leave hera to other pokes.
So I've been thinking about a defensive Mamoswine.
I've seen a few good movesets up here.

The only thing mamoswine lacks is a good recovery move...(Why doesn't it have slack off?)

any last suggestions?

Mamoswine could RestTalk. Unfortuantly, this takes up two of the 4 movesets Mamoswine has, and Mamoswine wants to use other moves.
