What's your guess on what Yoshi's taunts will be? I think he'll probably keep the N64/Melee one. I actually think this picture is part of that taunt:

Also, the double spin he does in the E4all trailer will be one too. Also shown in a non-taunting update, but in Yoshi's FS update (I think):

I don't think either of those pics are taunts, but you it was a valiant effort. I think the first one might just be something with snake's stage and the second looks like yoshi when he gets a smash ball maybe. I really hope they keep yoshi's melee taunt, I love that thing.

I know the first is about Snake's stage and the second with Yoshi's FS, I posted those pics to show Yoshi's poses. The first looks like his Melee taunt right before he goes back to his neutral standing position and the second seems like he's in the ending pose from what he did in the E4All trailer (between what seemed to be clips of Snake's and Ice Climber's taunts).

As for an extra on the first pic, you shouldn't even mind the lightspot and the ''!'' above his head, as Snake didn't give a respond to that either in the ending of his ''Snake joins the Brawl'' clip.

What is the point of 3 taunts? I like taunts but it doesn't seem that useful to have 3 taunts.

It's just something fun they put in the game. People like taunting their opponents and now they have more variety to do so.

Yeah I guess you're right, I always taunt my opponent when I kill him, but there is only one taunt in Melee and that was always fine with me so I figured 3 would be a waste of space.

If it doesn't block anything else from getting in, it sure is no waste of space. It's just nice to see your favourite character in various different animations.

In Melee, when Yoshi comes out of his shield you see the same type of eggshells. I'm guessing that's what it is in that pic.

That's him coming out of his shield, yeah. I know because I've paused at that exact moment countless times.

Another reason for multiple taunts is because of communication on the wii. No headset as of yet, so i think they added additional taunts for more communication between friends. On smashbros there was an update showing how you can map a different thing to each of your taunts.

I've always enjoyed the taunts in the games. Since Yoshi's one of my main characters that I pwn with, I'll enjoy taunting people with Yoshi in Brawl. Youtube has Brawl videos up. You could always watch a few of those and check for Yoshi users to check for those that use Yoshi and taunt.

I've already seen many Brawl Demo gameplay video's with Yoshi (also many without Yoshi) and I haven't seen any video that includes taunting. Not one comes into mind anyway. If someone has a video with playable demo taunting, you can share, but I doubt there are much.

I think I found the last taunt! In the Pictochat stage update, there's this picture with Yoshi:

I think this may be his 3rd taunt, which looks a bit like what he did in Yoshi's Story after eating something he liked, or after clearing the stage.

Wrong wrong wrong. The first pic is just a stage thing. Snake does it to in a vid. as well. It happens when the light shines on the character. i don't know exactly what happens, but an ! comes over the character.

The second pic is when he gets a smash ball. It's before he does the final smash.

The third, is when the character is on the edge, and they wave and such. Check it in Melee, it's exactly the same.

The only proven taunt we know right now is when he chases his tail in a smash bros. Dojo video. Sorry to let your hopes down.

Yeah, that's what I meant. You're free to move and attack normally once you get the Smash Ball, so they don't do any special animation then. They do the animation when you USE the smash ball. That's just his taunt you see there.

Yea, the picture must have been taken when he taunted AFTER getting a smash ball. So it is his taunt. It wasn't part of his animation.

I just corrected my self. It is his taunt. It just confused me before cause it looked like his animation.

I think he was just doing the original taunt in Melee, or doing the same motions but turned left and right. It is really blurry, though.

Alright, I've learned something. Most of the stuff we don't know about has been in certain pictures or trailers in the dojo already, like Wario's B and Up B. If we dissect that last picture, we may find out if it really is or isn't Yoshi's mysterious 3rd taunt.

First of all, it seems that DK is attempting to push the slanted part of the bottom block, so that's an impassable wall. If Yoshi is indeed in his about-to-fall animation, then he would have to be on the edge of a platform. What's confusing is that there is a very narrow space between the platform he is seemingly on and part of the impassable structure DK is pushing on. The narrow space may be an actual space you can fall through or may just be the quickly-drawn feel Sakurai wanted this certain part of Pictochat to have.

Another analysis we can make is that Bowser is jumping, but where did he jump from? He seems to have jumped from the platform right under him, or might've jumped from the one next to Yoshi. He looks like he's preforming his aerial forward move, so that should take him some time, so that increases the chance that he jumped from the solid platform next to Yoshi.

Also, with http://youtube.com/watch?v=U9ImoT_LOdI that video, at around 3 minutes, I've observed the Yoshi taunt in question and matched them. Yoshi's Story Yoshi tils his head back more, grabs his hands, and tip-toes with both feet. Things the Brawl Yoshi isn't doing in this picture. *It may be just the startup, though*

So, in conclusion, there are 2 likely outcomes.

A. This picture contains Yoshi's about-to-fall animation. (most likely)
or
B. This picture contains Yoshi's 3rd taunt, the All-Fruit Yoshi's Story taunt. (I wouldn't count on it)

What you're saying there is pretty much what most people here already thought. Your analysis cleared it up a bit more though. But about that little spot below Yoshi, I think that he is actually standing on that spot, and not balancing there, so I still believe that it is his actual 3rd taunt, the All-Fruit animation from Yoshi's Story. But now that I think about it, he also did something similar as his victory animation in Smash64 and Melee... Hmm.

Wow, I didn't notice that DK was pushing the wall. It's still possible Yoshi's still balancing, as there a small part where he could hang off of, but is very unlikely because that is more likley a wall. Thus, this very well could be one of Yoshi's other taunts!

Yoshi never went this far over the edge before he started balancing on the edge in Melee either, so I still doubt this is his balancing animation.
And if you're saying DK is balancing.. I don't know where you get that, as he clearly is pushing the wall.
