yeah i fired up the cube, the side platforms on yoshis island 64 are about the same height as the side platforms on kj64

but the top platform makes the level much, much taller

which means that peach will have to double jump onto a side platform and then double jump onto the top platform in order to get to fox up there

in that amount of time, fox can very, very easily go back down, which will take peach another huge amount of seconds to reach

the fact that peach has to use the side platforms to get to the top platform means that fox can easily react to which one she chooses, and go to the other side

its way, way harder to catch fox on this level than kj64

i also tested what kaostar is saying, and i made it back to the stage from the far right cloud with mario on my first try, but if edgehogged i'd have no chance

mewtwo can run to the far cloud at will. stay for max time with 3 cloud rule.

go to stage and return. no projectile is auto loss.

Uh....but can't you be hit while you're coming back to the stage to refresh the 3 cloud rule? I can't see you not being hit during that time. Also since Mewtwo's projectile sucks he can't do that if he's not up, and if he is up he constantly has to risk damage to himself going back to the main stage. I don't see that being problematic.

What about Ganon, can he make it back from the far cloud?

So yeah I can see how Fox v. Peach can be terrible on this stage because of Peach's crappy vertical movement and slow and low second jump.

But what about like, Fox v. Marth? Can he still super-camp?

Also again reiterate my question, is this just a Fox problem, or does the stage just mean that whoever has better vertical mobility wins, amongst the whole character cast?

Sure I can get hit. but thats only if they hit me. Its really hard to hit m2 when he is recovering. I only have 4 frames of lag when I land from teleport and I can turn around and go back. m2 can safely sweet spot the edge and has no lag from his up B if you do ledge grab.

You generally only camp when you are winning. but dont confuse camping with a defensive playstyle.

You would want to be fox, falco, zelda most likely to hit m2 with projectiles. If m2 is up a stock I see it being extremely difficult to catch him from teleporting around.

Im not saying much of anything, but It would be really gay to fight m2 there if he was up a stock.

arstneio, better vertical mobility might not be enough to guarantee it

if the gap isnt wide enough, the slower character might be able to catch them on some good predictions and herding tactics
