Let's just have them all.

Although Unfinished Battle should be in there and I definitely see it working as Shulk's credits theme after clearing classic mode.

One who gets in our way was a very common music hack for Brawl and would suit the game very well imo, even though it's not necessarily the best track on the Xenoblade OST.

Edit: Unfinished Battle too

I need a remix of Engage the Enemy/Confrontation with the Enemy. It's my favorite song form the game but I don't think as is it's very appropriate for fights.

Colony 9 would also be good. And Field of the Machinae and the Imperial Capital Agniratha are my other favorites but I don't expect them to be included,

Oh hey!
I didn't even notice Mechanical Rythm there. They worked that in well.

The Gaur Plains arrangement sounds great though

I TOTALLY forgot about this song! It would definitely fit well with the Guar Plains stage. Also it is a good change of pace from all the serious-toned songs in Xenoblade. And, since Riki plays a major role in Smash 4, being a part of Shulk's moveset, I could definitely see this song making it in. I think I will add this to the original post.

It makes me so sad that we pretty much know for a fact that the 2 3DS tracks are Guar Plains and You Will Know Our Names, but hopefully Wii U reaches a bit further than those two super known songs. God if neither version has Zanza I'll be so damn disappointed...

At any rate, I'm hoping Smash Run will have a few extra Xenoblade tracks. I could see One Who Gets in Our Way working well for that.

Well, obviously Xenoblade Chronicles has an astounding amount of extraordinary music that could be used in Smash, and many of them would fit in perfectly. So, as for which ones I think should be in...

-Time to Fight: For a standard battle theme, it's actually really good, and is a great contrast to Mechanical Rhythm. I don't see why this wouldn't be in.

-One Who Gets In Our Way: Not my favorite song in the game, but it's good, catchy, and a pretty prominent song in the game. Probably going to be in.

-Engage the Enemy: Less likely than the previous two, but this is definitely one of the best songs in the game, and it makes for a great theme for climatic battles.

-Unfinished Battle: It'll need a proper loop, but this is one of the most popular and recognizable songs from the game despite only being used once. Frankly, it's awesome.

-Gaur Plains (Night): Might as well have it to complement the day/night cycle of Gaur Plains. It could probably work something like the changing seasons of Yoshi's Island in Brawl.

-Main Theme: Not the most suited for battles, but it's a simply beautiful piece, and as the main theme of the game, I think it should be in.

All I want is Engage the Enemy, it's my favorite Xenoblade song! Probably because it's the first Xenoblade song I ever heard, it was in some trailer or commercial for the game on YouTube

Just a minor correction needed to the OP: "Gaur Plains", not "Guar Plains". (EDIT: I look silly now, Gaur Plain. Not Gaur Plains. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xweRl4LZlmo)

Anyway, if I listed the Xenoblade songs I wanted in Smash, I'd have listed the whole soundtrack, but in particular I'd want to see:
Engage the Enemy
Riki the Legendary Heropon
Unfinished Battle
One Who Gets In Our Way
Mechanical Rhythm, Zanza
Imperial Capital Agniratha
(Maybe) While I Think...
Even if they have to be arranged to be more battle-suited.

Also, we heard Mechanical Rhythm for the tiniest amount of time - I'm thinking that the Gaur Plains arrangement we heard was actually one piece that arranged both Gaur Plains and Mechanical Rhythm together.

Ever since I started thinking up ideas for a Xenoblade stage in Smash, a music track or two from Soma Bringer is something that I've wanted.

For those wondering: it was a Japan-only DS game made by Monolith Soft, and the first game they made after being bought by Nintendo, if I recall.

If we're going to bring up music from other Monolith Soft games, I'd say the main theme of Disaster: Day of Crisis would be a good choice. It sounds like it wouldn't be too out of place on the Guar Plains stage. It could at least be a good piece for Smash Run.

Every track of Xenoblade is so amazing, leaving songs out kind of hurt, heh, but i'll go with:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYkmn347wsY&list=PL3B0F9C2198D26DBA&index=44
- Colony 9 (imo a must have regarding field themes)
- One Who Gets in Our Way
- Main Theme (A rather calm theme, but an arrangement could work)
- Zanza (yes please, imagine the excitement)

- Xenoblade Medley? (who knows, i would be great)

Maybe less probable but would be great:
- Agniratha
- Riki the Legendary Hero (just for the comical and catchy tone)

But seriously though, i didn't played a game with such a consistently breathtaking soundtrack as Xenoblade for a good time, the music selection of this franchise could easily become a fan favorite, even among those who haven't played Xenoblade.

I'm making my way through Xenoblade, and somehow the music keeps improving. How the hell is that even possible when it starts off awesome? This is the best JRPG soundtrack after the 32 bit era without question, and probably the best since FF6

Man, Xenoblade has one of the best OSTs I've ever heard.

When I heard Memories, I listened to it straight for several hours on the first day and around a total of 14 hours total throughout a 3 day period. Yes, it was that good. Every time I repeated the song, it didn't feel stale at all, I just kept getting the feels over and over and over. Holy ****. The timing of me finding out about this OST and this track was helpful as well, as I was going in for my first music auditions, and I was quite nervous. Listening to it really helped calm me.

When i first heard about xenoblade's music, I was ready to try it out. At the time I was jokingly going to do a starcraft 2 24 hour marathon as a celebration for surviving exams and that I reached the beginning of spring break. I slept a few hours after school, then played all the way through the night slept a bit again, then played more. I ended up playing 17 hours within 24 hours. For reference, I and most players get tired after playing ~1-3 hours of SC2, even playing 5 hours is a rarity without feeling too tired to go on. But no, the soundtrack was so ****ing amazing, amazing song after amazing song that kept blowing my mind. So I kept playing and playing and playing, oh man it was so ****ing wonderful.

It's not my most favorite music ever, but it's one of the best OSTs I've heard because every track is so consistently good and therefore, overall, the soundtrack is extremely solid.

Off-topic: You should try the songs in the Baten Kaitos series. Baten Kaitos was developed by Monolith Soft, too. They have some pretty relaxing songs. I have been listening to Baten Kaitos music for about a decade now and have never gotten tired of it. One of mine personal favourites is Le Ali Del Principio (The Wings of Principle) from Baten Kaitos II (aka Baten Kaitos Origins).

That's rich, considering they had no qualms about spoiling Fire Emblem: Awakening and Kid Icarus: Uprising. At least including Zanza's theme wouldn't be nearly as direct as Robin and Palutena's trailers. [EDIT] And anyway, they could always just change the name of the song to "Final Boss (Xenoblade Chronicles)".

The whole English-backwards thing could just be the listener's imagination. [Shrugs] Then again, to be fair, the Heron language in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance was Japanese backwards. [Shrugs] Yvan eht nioj.
