WTF? Starfox are Amputees?

Hey guys. I was just bombarded by a guy on another forum getting mad at my Starfox art, saying "their legs were amputated, they don't wear boots," and freaking out when I mentioned that most furry sites have art of them where they have their full legs. And he said that some fan made "Did you know this about Starfox?" YouTube video was facts. I digged some more on the issue, and found that the only game they were like this was in Starfox SNES, which is considered non-canon nowadays. And the reason their legs looked like that in the promo is because they used puppets and didn't realize what they were doing to their feet. And the Arwings have a G-diffuser, just like the F-Zero cars.

And keep in mind that this is fiction. Falco even piloting an Arwing would be impossible if he digested like a regular bird, since they use gravity to digest their stuff, found out at an exhibit a few months ago. Anything can happen in fiction.

I've came to the conclusion that ever since Starfox 64, their legs are up for interpretation, as the only main character to ever show their bare legs canonically was Krystal.

As far as my art,

For those believing in the leg amputation theory: It's been 20 years since Starfox SNES. Corneria's already futuristic technology had advanced even more. In SF64, the Starfox team had their butt-ugly, obviously mechanical metal legs replaced with new synthetic legs that look waaaaaaay better, more realistic, and feel like, look like, and blend in with their bodies and how they were supposed to.

For those who don't believe in the leg amputation theory: This is my take on how the Fox and Falco's legs look. Falco's are orange, because he's a bird. Unlike 99% of fan art out there, my version has the feathers ending at the upper-thigh, similar to Daffy Duck. In SSBB, their pants are tight, so I think they have a length similar to capris.

This is just a thread to discuss this in. How many of you believe that the Starfox team are a bunch of amputees? How many of you believe that they're just wearing boots. From my art it should be pretty obvious where my opinion is.

Should this be in the Pool Room, since it's not that important and it's just me ranting in a Falco-like way? I didn't put it in there because there weren't any video game threads in there, so I assumed this was the place to put it, despite how petty it is.

Whatever forum this thread belongs to, it gives the whole "happy feet" stuff a brand new meaning.

Food for thoughts.

It was like that, but I think the newer Starfox games kind of ignores that fact, even though Melee has a robot fox leg.

What Red Ryu said. It's easier to say, though, that they're in a sci-fi videogame series, anything can happen really. As for the SF64 theory, that game was a retcon of the original so their legs could be 100% natural.
