worthwile technique

Im not claiming this to be new although it might be

ok everyone knows fox trot is good with sheik, but the disadvantage with it is you have to wait for the dash animation to end to do the next dash.

i.e. if you wanted to foxtrot forward you could only do one inital dash and you would have to wait for the animation lag to end before you could do the next dash making it completly pointless.

You can needle charge cancel your dash if you press b right after after you start to dash (like a boost grab but you have to imput the button faster). After you needle cancel your grab you bassicaly have no lag and can continually do it. you can keep dashin forward very quickly where the foxtrot wouldnt work cause of lag.

it is faster then the foxtrot by a few frames im not sure how many someone can figure it out

. Fox trot only works well when you dash one way then the opisite, otherwise its to slow
. can use it to space tech chases, its also shorter then a foxtrot

I'm guessing he means canceling some of the dash animation with needle charge.

I dunno if it actually works but its a fun thought. Though... sheik's fox trot is already pretty fast >_<

foxtrot is a universal technique, you basically use your initial dash frames to move, I don't know why anyone would though >.>
I'm sure there's a youtube video if you punch in "ssbm foxtrot"

beacuse shieks dash is so short, foxtroting back and forth is pretty much all we got

but there are alternatives:

if u wanna move forward quickly out of a foxtrot, u can do a quick frame perfect dash dance to go the other way then continue forward, this is the basis of moving your dash dance, controlling the length.

i've found wavedash forward to be a particulary good substitute 4 sheik cuz u r moving forward instantly without moving back at all and r reset to space out another dash dance.

u can also dash attack/boostgrab out of foxtrot, useful if u r using foxtrot to feign attack and delay rather than space out stuff
