Geno Il Piantassamo. Goomba is at least an iconic Mario mook. I didn't much care for Sunshine, but Petey is the superior Sunshine option.
Kiddy Kong. The one playable Kong from the list that no one liked. People at least like Lanky, Tiny and even Chunky has a few fans.
Sheik Another ****ing Link. Or another Zelda.
Ribbon. On her own. No Adeline.
Baby Bowser. I know Jr is technically a different character but it's a very minimal difference design wise. Yes I'd take Stork over the main antagonist.
Adam. Everyone hated him. Anthony Higgins is the superior choice.
Luvdisc. Not even an evolution to save it.
Sgt Pepper. Slippy would actually be great with turrets based on Star Fox Guard, and Peppy is fine too.
Anyone who isn't Porky, Giygas or maybe Ninten.
Anyone who isn't Goroh, Pico or Black Shadow
Stahl. Very forgettable. Rides a horse(I think?) and is another Awakening Fire Emblem. Alternatively anyone who is getting Marth's boring ass moveset again.

Magnus? A guy with a giant sword has been done a lot already.
Anyone who isn't Louie, Brittany or Charlie and maybe the Plasm Wraith. MAYBE.
Sniper Wolf or The End. Not really sure how well a Sniper would work in a game like Smash Bros.
18 Volt? Young Cricket? Eh, anyone who isn't Ashley, 9-Volt, Mona or Jimmy.

Shadow Probably...I dunno, Sticks? Marina? Chip? One of the weird one off Sonic friends that never appeared again.
