World's Best 3 Ikes @ Big House 5 tournament

The top 3 best Ikes in the world (Ryuga, Ryo, San) are all participating in The Big House 5 tournament. The biggest smash bros tournament this season.

UPDATE: All 3 have made it into the Top 32 (the Playoffs, as it were) which will be held Oct 4. 2015
UPDATE: Ryuga & Ryo will compete in Doubles Top 8 (separately)

It was amazing! Just love how he play`s a heavyweight like Ike as a fast character. And that Up smash at the end made me jump out of my chair!

He was the only Ike i saw on stream, though I didn`t watch everything, if you want to see the fight its around 2 hours and 3 min in this link http://www.twitch.tv/tourneylocator/v/18778437. Already watched it twice ^^

Confirmed 2 Ikes in the top 32, possibly a 3rd.

Matchup for Winners Round 1:

  • San vs Seagull Joe
  • Ryuga vs Dabuz

If they both win their respective match, then they will face each other next.

  • Ryo needs to win 2 more matches in pool 2 before he is confirmed for the top 32. And the way the bracket works, he won't be able to face either San or Ryuga unless they make it to Finals.

Ryo beat Tohfoo. Now he only needs to beat winner of D (either Megafox or Feeltension) to make it in the Top 32 with a first round bye.

Currently attempting to locate a clip of it, if one exists. EDIT: Not finding a clip. I guess it wasn't streamed :(

I was under the impression he had already made it in and that the pool brackets were just really behind in updating.

After BH5, we could see a turnaround in Ike's perceived viability by even the most skeptical players. It is reminding me of Apex 2010. Ike's presence in this tourney is looking like a raging hurricane.

CONCERNING PROJECTIONS:
Projections were saying that Ryuga (and San) would lose to Seagull Joe but after this showing, I think we may be able to take that with a grain of salt.

In conclusion, our heroes fought hard for their friends, with glory and valor.

They also put 3 Ike mains into the Top 16. Meaning 18.75% of the top 16 finalists were Ike mains. That means Ike mains makes up almost 1/5th of the best of the best.

Seeing abadango, that guy carefully counterpicks characters. Who'd known that Ike would be that vulnerable to uair string to UpB?
