Will which controller you use affect your gameplay?

I think maybe.
Cause if the melee pros with their gamecube controllers will probably be really good if they use those.
unless they changed the setup on the controller so I'm probably sticking to the classic or the gamecube.
what about you?

Yeah, different controls mean a different gameplay style.

I'll try all except nunchuck mode.
It looks a little too hard anyways I'll be better off with probably my GC controller.

Actually a guy pointed out a ridiculously good control setup with wiimote and nunchuck. You can map all the movement actions to the nunchuck and free up your other hands for purely attacks. It's really quite nifty; however, I doubt that it would be necessary due to the fact that it only benefits the super technical, and I don't foresee crazy tech related stuff like melee fox/falco in brawl any time soon.

If you are going to go to tournaments i think majority of everyone there will be playing using a Gamecube controller due to one major thing about using the Wiimote Wiimote/Nunchuck and Classic Controller, all of those have to be synced to the Wii you are playing on, now lets say your at a tourney, every single time you have a match you are going to have to resync the controller to Wii... i think that's going to get highly annoying and ppl will go back to using GC controllers

GC. I panned on using it from the start, but Sakurai's made a million references to how the GC controller is superior, so it only convinced me even more. Anyone notice in the update that he said to use the X and Y buttons to change Wario's costumes? He even posts his updates with GC as the default controller.

It was pretty obvious most people would just stick to the gc controller, I will at first though like Cereal Rabbit i'll probably give the WiiMote a shot just for the hell of it. Who knows, I might prefer it.

Maybe you should take a look at the Classic Controller which is just a SNES controller with Analog Sticks on them because the SNES had an X and Y buttons on it as well

Though he is probably talking about using the GC Controller but maybe he is also using the CC too

Why would the wiimote only have one taunt?
Anyways if it did I would still try it out and you can set up the controllers your way.

I've decided that shortly after I get the game, I am going to customize my Wiimote/Nunchuck combo and play with that. Yes, I argued so much on the side of the GC controller and I still think it's the best option, but I want to try and be a bit different, and I like the buttons on the Wiimote better than the GC controller buttons.

Something that would be really crazy is if some characters play better on different controllers/controll schemes. (EX: If Pokemon Trainer is easier to use/better with the nunchuk, or Bowser handels better with the Classic controller)

I do think that the GC controller will be easiest, but i don't think it'll be my main controller unless the remote+nunchuck sucks. I don't want the use GC because brawl is a new game, and i know many will disagree with me, but it needs a new controller.

I agree with you we don't know which controller is better yet until the release.
I wanna try the classic controller or the Wii mote.

i will use the gamecube controller.

there are 4 types of ways to control-the wiimote, wiimote and nunchuk, classic controller, and the gamecube controller.

if you can't find a good way to brawl, then your just being difficult

LOL:laugh:

I have no idea if this has been answered yet, but here's a thought. A big problem with the wiimote/nunchuk combo is the lack of a c-stick for aerials. Since we already know that about the nunchuk-shake smashes, what are the chances that nunchuk shakes in the air will do aerials ala the c-stick?

GameCube controller for sure, unless I somehow (I doubt it) like any of the others better.

EDIT: Look at me misinterpreting things... >_<

I'd imagine that if I chose anything but the GameCube controller it would affect my gameplay... Doesn't really matter, though... I suck in the first place. XD

I'll try all of them for the heck of it. I'll modify the buttons and will choose mah choice then. There are going to be a lot of possibilities.

If you've eaten apples for 6 years, and oranges, bananas, and grapes are placed before you along with apples, which will you naturally choose=??? This idea is sorta like being forced gameplay, like forcing you to use a certain character in a good old' fashioned smash match. Although a N64 controller and the DS as a control scheme are the only control schemes that aren't already in the game that I can think of, lol! A modded N64 controller for the Wii/GCN would be nice to use. I'm a 9 year vet with the N64 controller!

If the Wiimote and nunchuk don't work for me or limits your playing somehow, I'll buy a Gamecube controller.

I will likely use my Classic Controller, or Nunchaku Combo, as my Gamecube controller is third party, and likely wouldn't be allowed in tournaments anyway.

I'll probably switch to Wiimote just for kicks and giggles at times.
