Will We Have A Nintendo Direct Before DK Tropical Freeze?

February 10th and still no Direct in sight... 
We didn't get one in January, so I assume we'll get one this month, but when? Tropical Freeze releases this Thursday in Japan, so a Diddy reveal is almost guaranteed.
Maybe a Direct for the end of next week for the US release? That way there's some time between Diddy and a possible newcomer.

They might do it. If they feel the need to show off anymore of Donkey Kong before the game drops. Or if they have enough games with trailers too.

They usually occur on Wednesdays. (The regular kinds of ND that talk about everything)

Weird, but true. I went back and looked through all of the recent ND's and the most of them were on Wednesdays, even though I remember them being on Tuesdays. o.O
Well, then, maybe there's still hope of one this week, but I seriously doubt it. I've been hoping for one for a while now after I thought Nintendo had a pattern of one ND a month going. But they obviously broke that with last month.

They actually did one last month, for South Korea only.
As for this month, tomorrow or next week seem plausible with the release of Tropical Freeze, Nintendo's newest big game.

I would say next week, before the US release of Tropical Freeze would be a good time for a Direct. It's been a while since the December one after all, and they could give out a date for Mario Kart and show some new Smash stuff.
The Wii U needs the promotion, Tropical Freeze can't fail. Here's hoping...

When we get Smash news in a Nintendo Direct, it's a Worldwide Direct hosted by Iwata. If tomorrow's Nintendo Direct is not a Worldwide Direct, then don't expect any Smash news.
However, if it is a Worldwide Direct, then they better have tomorrow's Pic of the Day reveal Diddy Kong and not reveal him in a Nintendo Direct. That would be wasteful if they revealed him in a Nintendo Direct, in my opinion.
