Put it this way...if Ubisoft is able to use WiiMotion+, they can't blame the technology if RS2 sucks. I have hope though. I always liked playing multi player on Red Steel.I'd like to see Red Steel 2 pull off online sword duels. Still don't see it working too well, but it could happen.
Quoted for truth.Sure, I was going to buy the MotionPlus anyway, but this kinda annoys me. Look at how much he has to move just to get action across the screen done. If I am playing a game, I am under no pretense that I am doing it for anything but to enjoy a game. Nintendo is really starting to blur the lines between Video Game and Toy.
Asking too much out of gamers? I think not. This is the kind of thing that would enhance the experience by making you feel like you're in the game, not take you out of the experience. And if anyone thinks the movements are too demanding, go work out you wusses.Quoted for truth.
I can see alot of potential in this, but once you start asking too much of your players it will begin to take them more and more out of the experience of playing the game. It will be good if and only if it is incorporated seamlessly into the gameplay.

Exactly. People will still look for a way to bash Nintendo however. That's why I've really come to dislike the gaming community collectively. Most of us act like spoiled brats.I am not complaining, we get a more accurate gyroscope, better controls, which add to the revolutionary Wiis remote, all in all, a nice device to clip onto mylightsaberWii remote!

All right, both of you, do me a favor and play say GTA 4 with the Motion+. Now, since it's 1:1 ratio for the control that means EVERY time you aim the gun, must be accurate. In games like GTA, you fire... a lot. Or let's do Final Fantasy. People have clocked in over 100 hours in the game. Now, ever battle, again since it's 1:1 ratio, will require you to swipe the sword. Zelda - same thing.Quoted for the truth.
If you are too lazy to swing your arm, you are a sad, sad person.
This will add alot of depth to gameplay, rather than just a button press to do a highly complex sword motion, you can learn it, and use your own moves and develop tactics.
You are missing the point COMPLETELY. What this means is games cannot be long, emotionally involved quests once this thing becomes standard. Notice Wii Sports Resort comes prepackaged with it because that is the only type of gameplay this will work with in excess. I have carpal tunnel syndrome from my work. If you want to imagine what that is like, punch a wall until your wrists break, then keep punching. That is what I feel on a daily basis. When I play games, controllers allow me to actually play and not feel immense pain. With the Motion+ it's just adding to the problem, and creating this same problem for others. Zelda Wii2 won't be some epic game because gamers won't be able to swing and kill every enemy the way they'd want to. This just furthers my point that Nintendo should stop forcing us to innovate controllers. I'd much rather have realistic physics in say Star Wars Force Unleashed than pretend I am really swinging a fake lightsaber.Exactly. People will still look for a way to bash Nintendo however. Disagreed. There has yet to be a Wii game where the motion controls make me feel like I'm in the game, whereas numerous games using a regular controller have no problem doing that. Requiring larger motions through 1:1 recognition is only going to make you look like even more of an idiot flailing your limbs about in front of your TV, and like Eric said, is going to hinder production of full length games. It's only going to encourage more minigame collections. This is the kind of thing that would enhance the experience by making you feel like you're in the game, not take you out of the experience.
I am going to the chiropractor now. We are working on making it easier to live, but it's still quite unpleasant.I have carpal tunnel syndrome from my work. If you want to imagine what that is like, punch a wall until your wrists break, then keep punching. That is what I feel on a daily basis.
It only would if we get games that make us feel otherwise that we're in the game. Controls alone cannot make me feel like I'm in there, it needs to be an otherwise immersive experience. Wii Sports Resort does not look like it will make me "feel" like I am fencing, because it doesn't support the fantasy in any other way than the controls. Still might be fun, but the immersion seems lacking beyond the controls.Asking too much out of gamers? I think not. That seems right, I don't like the idea of a new Wii sports, with the same old graphics, a stupid looking dog that looks more like marbles glued together. It only would if we get games that make us feel otherwise that we're in the game. It's one of the reasons that I liked No More Heroes so much. I ran in, furiously mashing the A button, beating the hell out of everyone else in the room. I'm totally digging it. Then, I finally got the guy's health down enough and the game tells me to swing to the left. I flick the Wiimote left, Travis swings left and the guy's head comes off. I'm never out of the experience, and I feel like I've done something. The game supports the idea of being an assassin with more than just the ability to cut people's heads off. There's story, setting, and gameplay that puts me there.
I just hope someone can really build a solid game around it at one point or another. There's a whole world of potential to do alot of really great things, but there's also the very real possibility to incorporate a ton more waggle--Now with even more directions! That seems right, I don't like the idea of a new Wii sports, with the same old graphics, a stupid looking dog that looks more like marbles glued together.
I would trade a game like Wii sports for a deep game using a NES controller, but luckily, not all Wii games are that...junky.
