Right, as we all know the wii isnt exactly a hardcore gaming machine, so it does get quite hot. In this case i decided to look into cooling solutions for the wii. I found alot of wii cooling USB fans which im not very fond of.. no point in putting another fan ontop of a fan, and i found alot of cooling stands, but the problem is that i've found out that the LED lights on them uses alot of power which slows down your gaming which makes it all totally pointless because by cooling the system you are meant to be improving performance and lifespan of the system. I can't find a cooling stand without LED lights, is there such a thing? is the whole idea stupid?

Please tell me your thoughts.

Oh. Well it depends if you really need it. Does your Wii need cooling help? Wii stands aren't expensive so it can be for decor too i guess.

Lol a cooling stand gives ventilation to the Wii without blasting dust into it because its sealed off from the stand. A mini fan would just make everything worse

True.

Just get that stand then but to be honest i've played brawl for ages one time and i touched the wii and it wasn't so hot. Unless you leave yours on everyday and night.

The Wii actually runs a lot hotter than the 360 does.
Its true, but the cool down is surprisingly fast. After a 3 hour session it was too hot to touch went to the bathroom for 30 seconds came back and it was cool like i never touched it. I'm not sure about the Xbox 360's though.

Yeah, the wii gets hot. But it doesn't break. Unless it falls on the floor a half dozen times.

That thing is WAY to light to stand upright with wired controllers.
