Wii makes noise whenever a disc is in

Since I changed my wii from its vertical stand to horizontal, it sometimes makes a buzzing noise when a disc is in. It sounds like something is spinning off-center. It happens the most when I play Brawl, but it happens a lot with any Wii game. Also it happens now whether it's vertical or horizontal. Sometimes when I pick it up and change the angle it stops buzzing. So I propped up the front end a bit and it buzzes less but it still happens. I felt the Wii when it was buzzing and it was vibrating a bit.

Why does this happen? How can I fix it? I'm just worried because it feels like it's slowly damaging my Wii.

this is a good example

I'm not sure if this will hurt your Wii, I'm just know it doesn't normally happen on most Wii's that I have seen.

Yeah. I have that problem too. I sent it to Nintendo for repair but I started to hear that sound again after a couple of days. It feels as if it was scratching the CD.

There's a do it yourself way on youtube, apparently you have to open the cover and loosen one screw. It seems to be a fairly common problem from what I've read.

I had that exact same problem. Glad to see that someone else has had it also (sorry that you have it though). I had to send it in to Nintendo for repair and it's been better since. It only took about a week and a half. The disc drive seems to come out of place if moved too much (I knocked mine over a couple of times by accident).

Sorry that yours has reverted to its state, NeBz.

Hope that both of you can resolve this issue.

I think I might be having a similar issue. It sounds more like a rapid clicking though. Either way it doesn't sound good. Could you post a link to that vid?
