Wii Internet Channel is now free

Might be old news for some might be new for others.

The wii internet channel is now free. If you payed 5 dollars for it Nintendo offers you a free NES game of your choice. Check your wii for Nintendo's email.

What are your thoughts on this? Why did they change it to free?​

I got it within the first six months or whatever so I got it free in the first place.

Doesn't really make sense to charge $5 to use a browser on the Wii...if I hadn't gotten it for free, I wouldn't have the internet channel yet. I'm not really sure what made them change their minds, but I'm not really upset that I got it for free since I wouldn't want another VC game anyways.

It would be a lot nicer if they just gave you 500 Points instead of only the option of an NES game, though.

The flash player is also updated to an equivalent to Flash Player 8. Most video sites work now
