So I can exercise while playing a fighting game? Screw you creators of P90X, Insanity, DailyBurn, and all those other workouts you see advertised! I just found the perfect way to get exercise that's also fun!!!

I think it was meant in another way.
That's possible, but it wouldn't really make sense if they meant it any other way:

  • You'll be able to play along with the Wii Fit mode and you'll have the option to syncronize with the game.
  • The main player will be able to use her or his body power to create some interesting movements in the game. For this, the pad will be needed.
As the above info suggests, it appears that the Wii Fit Trainer will actually offer a unique controlling option through the use of the Wii Fit board, although the details remain to be seen.
If this translation isn't a total crapshoot, it sounds like you'll seriously be able to play the game with the Balance Board.

Ok...I don't know how the hell you'd do that, maybe your excercising reflection appears on the Wii Fit Studio stage?

The pad as in GamePad.

You know what, I don't really care, I won't argue because the Wii Fit Board will be the master controller.

Redirected this thread to the Wii Fit Trainer sub-forum since it is a bit more appropriate considering this news only affects her/him.

I can't wait to see that one dude at a tournament that looks like he's break dancing to play the game.

This reminds me of the one time I tried using the Mario Mix dance pad to play Melee.

Never ever ever again.

Although this idea is interesting, I believe it to be false. I posted the article (which looks like it was put through a google translator) to her move set speculation topic and it mentions nothing about the Balance Board.
The article only talks about her special moves and custom variations. It also says that her special moves require extra inputs and timing to have more power and range. i.e. mashing B during Hula Hoop to increase range.
This is probably what the article meant by "synchronizing with the game".

EDIT: for you lazies
